The barely-realised storyline in "A Multitude of Sins" concerns the experiences and dreams of blonde cutie Alexa Schiffer, and those of some of her friends, who just happen to be a selection of good looking women (though watch out later on - I know Christoph likes to think of this as his kinky series, but some might say that big, wobbly middle-aged ladies was a kink too far! Funny how they don't show that on the cover artwork!). You actually need to watch the director's notes in the extra footage to realise that it's meant to be about Alexa's boring life and her dreams about getting a man, while Eniko, who plays her mother, plays around!

I knew I had seen Alexa before, other than in magazine shoots and most recently in Christoph's Beautiful Girls; it was in Do It, a Private comp, in a Christoph-directed scene I believe was taken from Triple X 20. She worked for Private (directed by Christoph and others) before as Claudia, thus, perhaps, her current nom de porn.

Nannes, Eniko, David
After some shots of Alexa walking around Budapest set up the scene during the opening credits, slinky, sexy Nannes Beaumont, a leggy blonde, joins Eniko and David. The trouble is that the story is not fully explained, and the action doesn't quite live up to the Hardball tag, meaning the movie falls between two stools. It also looks like I'll have to reconsider my views about whether Christoph is shooting less hardcore movies. That is partly true here. That said, it's good to see a little more imagination and ideas in play regarding shooting and lighting especially. Plus of course, old dears aside (and they are hard to overlook!), there are the usual great girls to enjoy again, though they are not always used to their full potential. On balance, I found this movie has its moments, and there are several, but I can't help feeling it was faintly disappointing.

DVD Comments
The usual Evil Angel quality options and extras are on show: chapter and fetish menus and a generous helping of special features. Especially useful is the extra footage, specifically the revealing director's notes that help to illuminate the story line and show how Christoph's ambitions for this movie don't quite become reality. It's very interesting to see how much goes into making the movie, plus there's footage that was left out that might have made the story more readily understood - but I guess the generous helping of extra sex might be of most interest, as well as a few nice clips from the photo shoot scene.

As far as picture quality is concerned, there were a few skips (could be a dirty disc) and sporadic problems with light and shadow, and slight pixellation, but this is all under close scrutiny; generally it's fine. I thought the audio editing was pretty slick and the music surprisingly good.
