The Erotic World of Cody Nicole is what would be considered to be an all sex star showcase film in today's adult entertainment world. The Erotic World of Cody Nicole doesn't make any sort of pretense of a plot or any true set-up to each scene, although in a way it is a vignette film but more on that later. The format for the film is simple. Cody Nicole is in bed, reminiscing about having sex with various stars of the adult industry. The film breaks the fourth wall because in these segments, while slowly undressing and playing with herself, Nicole talks directly to the viewer through the camera.

Almost all of the segments seem to be originally made specifically for The Erotic World of Cody Nicole, so the film isn't a way to offer the viewer a compilation of Nicole's previous work. Nicole is involved in all of the sex scenes, so the film is a showcase film for Nicole. All of the cast members in the film play themselves, with the exception of one, so outside of the sex scenes, there isn't any acting within the film.

All of this brings us to the final scene, which doesn't appear to have originally been shot for The Erotic World of Cody Nicole. The director William Reynolds kept the same format throughout the film, where all of the cast plays themselves, and Nicole introduces each scene from the bed as she is progressively further along with her playing with herself. The final scene changes all of this. Nicole just gives a voice over to introduce the scene, without the normal accompanying video footage. And Greg Derek isn't Greg Derek in the scene, he is Duke, Kimberly Carson's husband. This is the only scene where someone in the film didn't play themselves. As for whether this was originally shot for another production that was abandoned and used here or whether it was culled from another production, this reviewer isn't sure but this reviewer is sure this scene was never designed originally to be in this film.

The sex scenes in the film are well done. The cast certainly seems to be enjoying themselves during each scene and seem to be very into the scene. There is a nice variety to all of the scenes and while all the scenes are relatively tame, the performers generate good heat within them. Overall, The Erotic World of Cody Nicole isn't a bad film and isn't a great film. If you are a fan of Cody Nicole, picking this up is a no-brainer. If not, the film is probably worth a rental if you are a fan of the genre.

Classic X Collection has done a better than their average job with their DVD release of The Erotic World of Cody Nicole. The Erotic World of Cody Nicole was shot on film and it looks like Classic X Collection has utilized a high-quality video master for this release. The Erotic World of Cody Nicole is presented in the academy aspect ratio of 1.33:1 in 480i. The image looks good with grain, artifacts, and print damage visible. There are a few places where the image looks a little jumpy. Colors look good and natural.

The Erotic World of Cody Nicole is presented with an English Dolby Digital 2.0 monaural audio track. The audio isn't as good as the video with a pronounced hiss at times and an echo at other times. The dialog in the film is clear and can be understood at all times.

Classic X Collection hasn't included any extras on the release.

The Erotic World of Cody Nicole isn't a bad showcase film for the star Cody Nicole. The film doesn't bother to spend much time on the non-sexual portion and doesn't resort to giving each scene a story. Instead, Nicole introduces each scene and off the viewer goes into the sex scene. Surprisingly, Classic X Collection's DVD release of The Erotic World of Cody Nicole isn't bad with good video and decent audio.
