Initial Expectations: Although Freddie Lincoln rarely does anything much for me, with Keri and Chloe here I’m actually looking forward to it.

Initial Reaction: It just might be the best movie I’ve seen from Fred Lincoln, and kept a smile on my face through most of the movie.

Who Should Watch It : Couples and fans of the cast

Who Should Avoid It: Anybody who wants to see certain cast members fitting an entire hockey team inside one of her orifices at the same time

Audio /Video Quality: The audio is clear and well balanced, although the balance is occasionally off slightly. The video has a small amount of grain to it, and is often slightly on the dark side. It’s not grainy enough or dark enough to interfere much, but they are both there enough to notice.

Music: The music has a rock feel, and varyies between softer romantic rock and harder rock. It’s consistently on the loud side, and almost always covers up some of the sounds between the performers. Sadly, one song is used several times in the feature, which brings things down just a little.

Menus: The main menu is the usual VCA main menu with the music that’s starting to haunt me in my sleep. Sadly, I’m not sure if that’s better or worse than having Ed Powers visit you in your sleep. The chapter menu, on the other hand, is great and lets you choose a scene based on a small clip of each scene and the name of the leading lady in that scene.

The Feature: Steve Hatcher has come up with an idea for their college summer vacation. Rather than doing the standard summer jobs, like his best friend Chloe has planned working at the country club, he wants to turn his parent’s cabin in the woods into an interactive theater haunted house. When they get there, meet the caretaker, and experience the cabin a bit, however, they find things might not need to be set up.

Keri Windsor starts things off taking on Steve Hatcher after showing him the new bikini she just bought. She strips Steve out of his pants before taking him down her throat repeatedly and giving him some great eye contact. She even bites him a little and runs her nails up and down the side, nicely turning it into an even more aggressive hummer. Chloe takes on Cheyne Collins after almost hitting him with a baseball bat. She makes up for it by sucking his cock on a mirrored staircase, and then letting him go directly to shafting her snatch. It’s a very good scene, but Chloe never has an orgasm. This leaves me with mixed feelings. I’m thrilled that Chloe doesn’t fake an orgasm to balance things out, but it also seemed a little off balance that she doesn’t get her moment of bliss also. It was also helped out by Chloe looks of satisfaction of getting Cheyne off.

Chloe takes on enigma Shyla Stylez by a pool after seeing her walk by her room in the cabin. Shyla Stylez hooks up with Eric Masterson and Steve Hatcher next. Since Eric doesn’t believe in ghosts, Shyla works on him first, giving him a tease before moving over to Steve. Finally, Chloe and Steve Hatcher get their groove on in front of Steve’s house. Enigma is a nice surprise of a fuck flick. I’m rarely impressed by Fred Lincoln, but he does a very nice job here. I normally dislike Fred’s movies because I get the feeling that he’s afraid of the female orgasm, which I love to watch. In Enigma I rarely had that feeling, and the scenes were edited tight enough that I was drawn into almost every scene. The camera angles change around enough that you get a feeling of everything going on, yet you never feel like somebody ran out of their ADD medication while editing the movie together. Furthermore, the cast works very well together, so that no one person really outshines all the rest or feels like they’re left behind. This balance is probably the main reasons I’d recommend this title to couples even though there’s a bit of lesbian and group sex in the movie. There’s also some nice touches to the sex, such as using toys in a hetero scene and couples stroking each other at the same time rather than just taking turns sucking and licking. Enigma is one of the best adult films I’ve ever seen from Fred Lincoln, and one that I hope doesn’t disappear on me.

Extras: Trailers are included for Unreal, Dangerous Games, and Being Julie Ashton. The photo gallery lasts about two minutes with about seven seconds per very nice looking full screen photo. A bio is included for Chloe, as well as a few extra photos, her credits, and links directly to her scenes. There’s also links to scenes for Keri Windsor and Shyla Stylez in the cast section. Finally, there’s contact information and VCA’s Wall to Wall option that lets you watch the movie without all the fast forward fodder.

Overall: Currently, most VCA DVDs can be found online for between $15 and $25 with most stores offering them for around $20. Although the extras are lacking again, I’d be really tempted to pick this one up. The movie is nicely done and has some good sex to it. I think Enigma is going to have some good replay value.

Note to VCA: It’s great to see you working so hard for day and date releases, but I’d be more than happy to wait an extra couple weeks if it meant getting a couple decent extras. An interview with Chloe would have been great here, and Eric has had some interesting things to say about Fred Lincoln on interviews on other companies’ DVD extras.
