Intimate Moments series is a collection of female masturbation videos, done with the Abby Winters sensibility of taking regular- looking women (as opposed to glitzed-up porn stars) and filming them masturbating in a realistic fashion. The camera is locked down and the film-crew goes away, leaving the performer to diddle-herself however she pleases. The result is something that looks almost like a hidden- camera movie, except that the production values are a lot better.

This time we have 11 women in 10 different scenes—10 are solo -girl, only one is a two-girl tandem, and nobody appears more than once. Aleit, Aisling and Col all show up in IM32: Erotic Pleasures, and it looks to me like they may have shot the scenes on the same day, but the scenes are different on each DVD.

One of the things I like best about the Intimate Moments DVDs is that there's usually a lot of variation, so things don't get stale. Beside the one and two-girl shows, you get a variety of positions and locations, some girls like penetration, some don't; some move a lot, some don't. Among the two-girl pairings, some are chatty and some are not. It doesn't feel stale or contrived.

On the other hand, because it looks realistic, you don't get the over-the-top performances, and none of the girls here have toys at all, much less traffic cones or cricket bats or shop vacs to play with. If you like your porn extreme, you'll have to look elsewhere.

Special Features: No "extras," other than trailers for other AW titles (both masturbation and lesbian). Less fat, more meat.

Production values: typical AW standards: the video is crisp, clean and colorful, and the audio is good. It can be a little hard to follow some of the conversations, but for me it may be more about the Australian accents than audio clarity. The DVD menu is simple and clear and easy to navigate. I was also very pleased to see that they had multiple-chapter stops for each scene, so you can easily skip to a favorite place, or even set up a repeat loop if your DVD player can handle it. It's a very well put-together package, as if they expect to sell this over time, as opposed to slapping something together fast for a quick sale.

Final verdict: the Intimate Moments series is still going strong. If you like watching masturbate in a realistic fashion, in their own individual styles and at their own pace, this is the place to go. If you like performers who don't look like lap dancers or street-whores, but instead look like the women you meet in real life, an amateur/voyeur look with quality presentation, this is a great series, and an excellent DVD.
