Initial Expectations: I’m not a fan of barely legal movies, but I was impressed with Easy Prey and have been looking forward to its sequel for quite a while.

The Technical Stuff

Audio /Video Quality: The technical aspects are pretty good. The audio is clear and well balanced, and I don’t think I heard a single background noise. The video isn’t quite as good, but is still above average. It’s nicely lit but there’s a hint of pixelation.

Music: There’s a little porno music for the tease and opening of each scene, but it quickly disappears once the sex starts.

Menus: The menus are nicely done. The main menu combines a little animation with a clip from the movie. The chapter menu lets you choose a scene based on a small clip of each scene, and then gives you another menu to let you choose where in the scene you want to go.

The Feature

Yeah, there’s a lot of old guys who want to prey on young, barely legal girls. What many of them don’t realize is that there’s plenty of those young, barely legal girls who have their eyes on them as well. The Easy Prey series focuses on these girls, and the older guys they prey on.

Scene 1 - Vanessa Michaels and Justin Magnum

This is an okay scene. I’ll admit that it didn’t start too strong for me because I just didn’t find Vanessa overly attractive. Yeah, she has a nice body, but there’s something about her face that just gives me a trashy feeling about her. Vanessa looks like she’s into the action fairly well, but Justin strikes me as a suitcase pimp who’s barely holding on through most of the scene. It’s an above average scene, but didn’t get much beyond average for me.

Scene 2 - Tina Fine and Alex Rox

Tina, a fairly unattractive brunette, welcomes Russian exchange student Alex with open arms, as well as open mouth and legs. They undress each other on the staircase before Tina attacks Alex orally, working on both his cock and his nipples. Scene 3 - Jessica Sweet and Brian Surewood

It struck me as being so similar to everything else out there that I didn’t find anything unique or captivating enough to hold my attention too well. The only thing that really impressed me with the scene was the pop shot and how well Jessica took it.

Scene 4 - Kat and Kurt Lockwood

Kat, who has braces and looks like she might have a little Latino in her, finds handyman Kurt working on the sink when she heads to the shower. When Kat surprises him and he bumps his head on the sink, she comes over to do her best Florence Nightengale starting with a little mouth to mouth. With this scene I was finally able to get into the movie. Kat still has the young look that doesn’t do a lot for me, but she also looks to really get into the sex. She takes the anal with ease, and has nice chemistry with Kurt. This is a hot scene with nice chemistry.

Scene 5 - Eva Evangelina and Nick Manning

When cable guy Nick shows up, cute brunette Eva, who stands alone as the only girl in the movie with implanted tits, can’t wait to get a bit of his cable. This scene had me torn a little. On one side, I was really into the scene. Nick and Eva had great chemistry and almost seemed to feed off each other. On the other side, I kept waiting for Eva to start doing a little of Bill Engvall’s “Here’s your sign” schtick. I’d love to see Nick shout “You like that cock fucking you?”only to have Eva respond “Nope. There was this itch in my pussy that my fingers just couldn’t reach. Here’s your sign.”. She definitely has what it takes to make this scene work, and has me eagerly wanting to see more of her in the future. For this scene, however, I spent my time split between intently watching and throwing my head back laughing while thinking of how I needed to see more of Eva.

I’m not sure, but I think part of why Easy Prey 2 didn’t work well for me was because I’m not much of a fan of barely legal movies. I like them now and then, but as a whole, I’m a person who prefers women to girls. In the original Easy Prey, there was a pretty good focus on the girls preying on the older guys, knowing that they could make the older guys do whatever they wanted. Here, that idea barely raises its head. Yes, there’s a comment or two at the start of the scenes, but there’s barely any of the tease that shows the girls working it. The movie also suffered for me because the girls seemed to show a need to vocalize just how old they were, crying out things like “Fuck that nineteen year old pussy” repeatedly. Once again, I know that this turns the crank for many guys, but it just isn’t my thing. Finally, I just wasn’t attracted to many of the girls. Vanessa, Jessica, and Kat seemed fairly average to me while Tina made me wonder if Alex was given a couple bottles of beer to help him get in the mood for his scene. Cover girl Eva was the only girl who I really found attractive, but by the time I got to her and Kat’s scenes, it was almost too late. Kat and Eva easily lead the sex here, and help to finish the movie much at a much higher level than it started. Easy Prey 2 has some decent action, but it never seems to do anything to rise much above the standard barely legal porno.

The Extra Stuff

The behind the scenes featurette lasts almost fifteen minutes. After a little time with Eva and Nick talking and trying to get a few photos, things cut to a great verbal blooper between Kat and Kurt. It moves on with a quick flash of Tina and a few photos with Vanessa. Finally, Jessica demonstrates how she wasn’t hired to do dialogue and that she even has a bit of attitude shooting the sex. It’s a nice collection of behind the scenes footage, and works in a little of everybody.

The Bottom Line:

Currently, many Smash DVDs can be found online for between $14 and $24 with most stores offering them in the $20 range. At the low end this one’s a good buy for barely legal fans. There’s a decent variety to the sex, the technical aspects are pretty good, and there’s even a bit of effort put into the extras. Although the movie didn’t work the best for me, this is a nicely made DVD.

Note to Smash Pictures: It’s great to see you trying to branch out a little, but a little work to set this series aside from the rest of the barely legal genre would really be great.
