The Short Story

Initial Expectations: I haven't seen anything from Alexander DeVoe, but having him join up with Jules Jordan gives me extremely high expectations. A cast with this much booty doesn't hurt anything either...

Initial Reaction: I like a lot of what I see from Alexander DeVoe, but the movie as a whole wasn't as impressive as I expected.

The Technical Stuff

Audio /Video Quality: The technical aspects are nicely done. The audio is clear and well balanced, and I don't think I noticed a single background noise. The video is nicely presented in anamorphic widescreen, which is very nice to see. It has just a hint of grain and is very nicely lit throughout the movie. The camera work is also very nice and movies around smoothly without drawing attention to the motion.

Music: There's a little music during the tease sequences, but that's it.

Borderline False Advertising: The cover claims a running time of 4 Hours 10 min. while the movie doesn't even last three and a quarter hours. It also comes in a bit short when one takes in the bonus scene and behind the scenes featurette, so I'm deducting a half point from the overall score. I know that Jules Jordan Video used the total run time in some of their early releases, but they also appeared to change to list the run time of the feature and featurettes separately before the release of this DVD. I hope in the future Alexander DeVoe lists running times in this method rather than overstating the running time of the entire DVD.

Menus: The main menu nicely brings together a few small clips of the movie, a little animation, and a still for a look that seems a touch generic but at the same time works very well. The chapter menu is nicely done, and lets you choose a group of scene based on the name of the girl(s) in each scene. There's also a fetish menu that lets you go directly to specific sex acts such as booty teas, blowjobs, and anal.

The Feature

Dynamic Booty keeps things fairly simple. Each scene starts out with a bit of booty tease with Alexander DeVoe working the camera in a very nice voyeuristic fashion. It moves on with a bit of sex that may or may not include anal action.

Scene 1 – Pinky and Mr. Marcus

Tunnel Vision starts things out creeping around in a blue tint before settling in on Pinky's ample ass as she putts on a little chartreuse outfit. She walks around and shakes her ass before the camera moves up to show her average tits and face along with her funky bright red dyed hair. Pinky goes back to shaking and showing off her ass for the camera before lying back blindfolded on a pool table. This is one of those scenes that I think is going to hit every person differently depending on what they like. If all they care about is seeing a big ass bouncing around, it's going to be great. DeVoe does a fantastic job focusing on Pinky's ass throughout the scene, and picked positions which were great at showing it off. For me, however, this scene never quite made it past the average mark. Yes, Pinky has a great ass, but the rest of her did nothing for me. I didn't find her all that attractive and the pink hair in pigtails made her even less attractive to me. Add to that some average chemistry with Marcus, who normally adds a fun feeling to his scenes, and Marcus bringing virtually nothing but a hard cock and almost no personality to the scene and this scene falls far short of what I'd expected from DeVoe. This scene brings Dynamic Booty off to a less than impressive start.

Scene 2 – Jazmine Cashmere, Sydnee Capri, and Wesley Pipes

D.O.A. starts out with Sydnee in a black vinyl dress bringing what looks to be a great ass on a table with a few dildos lying around. The positions are a bit limited, but don't work too bad with the split between the girls taking on each other and taking on Wesley. This is a pretty hot scene that worked well for me.

Scene 3 – Mya G. and Big Sid

This is a pretty hot scene. The tease isn't too bad, but at the same time goes on a little too long. There's nice chemistry between Mya and Big Sid, and they keep the sex rocking pretty well. DeVoe's camera work is right on here, and does a great job balancing between Mya's ass and the big picture. This is a good scene with plenty of chemistry.

Scene 4 – Beauty Dior, Cherokee, and Big Sid

The Hard Way starts out with the DeVoe's voyeuristic eye moving around to find Cherokee restrained to a stool wearing a white fishnet outfit with a orange ball gag and sexy black studded mid-calf high heeled boots. This is a good scene. Once again Alexander DeVoe shows a great love of ass and that one doesn't need anal to have a scene that worships ass. The positions are nicely chosen and there's a nice balance between the girls. That said, the scene also seems very restrained. It focuses on the ass so much that the chemistry is really held back in the scene and doesn't really come out until at least the last third of the fucking. The scene also seems to go on forever, as it's a nearly a forty minute scene that feels like it has at least twenty minutes of cowgirl fucking. Don't get me wrong, I love cowgirl whether I'm watching or partaking, but here it leaves the scene feeling restricted and like at least five minutes could have been chopped out of the scene without really losing anything. This is a good scene, but it felt like it could have been much better.

Scene 5 – Aurora Jolee, Flower Tucci, Sinnamon Love, and Brian Pumper

This is a very hot scene. There's great chemistry all around and I love how there's a few more positions mixed in. This scene seems as much about anal as the ass, and that frees it up nicely. There's a very nice balance between Flower and Aurora, and although Sinnamon doesn't get poked nearly as much as the others, she still has a great place in the scene that works extremely well guiding much of the action. Brian and the girls definitely finish Dynamic Booty on a high note.

Dynamic Booty is a pretty good fuck flick. It's 'the first I've seen of Alexander DeVoe's work, and as such I can say that it has a lot of potential. DeVoe shows a great love of ass throughout the movie, and does a very nice job of picking positions and camera angles where you can admire them. He also knows that an ass fetish is different than a love of anal sex, which is something few directors seem to understand today, and puts a lot of focus on the tease. There's a definite feeling that the ass is the main criteria for the girls in the movie, and that's a nice thing to see even when the girls don't always work for me. At the same time, there's times in the movie when the ass fetish seems to hold the movie back as there's no reason for most of a thirty minute scene to be in one sexual position. As for the scenes themselves, I think the final scene with Aurora Jolie, Flower Tucci, and Sinnamon Love taking on Brian Pumper was the strongest, while Pinky's scene with Mr. Marcus did very little for me. Most of the scenes came in somewhere in between, but always showed a great love of ass and frequently felt like they could have been trimmed back a bit. Dynamic Booty might not have always worked for me, but it shows a lot of potential and a definite love of ass.

A bio is included for Alexander DeVoe as well as a cast listing by scene listing the women only. The photo gallery contains around eighty great looking snapshots. There's also a behind the scenes featurette, a bonus scene, and weblinks.

The behind the scenes featurette lasts twenty six minutes. After checking out Aurora, Flower, and Sinnamon, things move to Cherokee as she's tied up. There's a little of Cherokee and Beauty after the scene as they chat with Alex and head to the showers before moving on with Mone and her tied up tease. There's also a bit of her getting groped before working a cock out. Things move on to Sinnamon chatting about butt sex with big dicks with Flower adding in a few comments. Pinky is next, who poses for some stills, gets a pop shot, and heads off to the bathroom to clean up. Things move to Alex talking about getting back into action with a little fun in the background before capturing some of the fun between Beauty, Cherokee, and Big Sid. He snaps a few stills of Aurora, Flower, and Sinnamon and captures them hanging out before moving on with the body bag sequence with Alex working with the cast to get things how he wants them. It moves back to Flower working on her ass with a glass toy before chatting with Wesley and letting Jazmien show off as Sydnee poses for some stills. Finally, there's a few more words from Flower Tucci. This is a pretty good behind the scenes featurette. It jumps around a bit much between scenes for my tastes, but also mixes things up a bit in styles. You get a little fun here and there and a bit of personality from Alex DeVoe, but no large interviews or long shots of the movie being shot. This isn't too bad of a behind the scenes featurette.

Bonus Scene – Mone Divine and a guy

The Gift & The Receiver starts with Mone in some pink and purple wide fishnets, a red and black thong, and a sexy deep purple corset with a little pink and purple skirt with her hands tied behind her and her ankles tied together. She gets up and hops around to make her way up a staircase to a blue chair where she gets out of her restraints. At the same time, the editing seems a bit rough and choppy, especially compared to the rest of the movie. This is a good movie, but there's a few things about it that make it easy to see why it's a bonus scene rather than a part of the main movie.

Currently, many of Jules Jordan Video's DVDs can be found online for between about $22 and $35 with several stores offering them for around $25. I'd rent this one first. There's a gre4at focus on booty, but the sex wasn't quite as hot as I expected. The technical aspects show some very nice care, and the extras also show some great effort. The movie might be a little weak here, but the overall DVD shows plenty of effort.
