Initial Expectations: I wanted to see Audree James for the first time. I heard good things about her. Angel Eyes and Jada couldn’t hurt either.

Who Should Watch It: Fans of dark-skinned Black women, fans of high-quality porn

Initial Impression: Not bad.

Scene 1 – Japan (Misty Mason), Wesley Pipes

Misty has an accident/encounter with Wesley in a parking garage. Instead of exchanging insurance information like a responsible adult, she decides to throw Wesley on the hood of his car and forcibly remove his cock from his pants. This type of aggression would seem to work well as a setup to a hot encounter. I didn’t find it that hot for a number of reasons. One is Japan’s looks. She’s not ugly or anything but she’s really tall and I don’t like that. If a woman is taller than the guy she’s screwing, it’s a turn off. Second is Misty’s ability to chew what she bit off. She’s supposed to be the aggressor here but most of the time she looks uncomfortable and not able to handle Wesley. Then there’s Wesley. His shit-talking can really kill a scene. There’s nothing positive to counter balance the negatives so I would say this is a below average scene.

Scene 2 – Jada, Julian St. Jox

Everyone loves Jada nowadays. She good, no doubt, but I don’t put her at the top of my list. She’s moderately attractive, but her body, particularly her ass and her breasts are spectacular. Jada is the aggressive type but she frequently dishes out more than she can comfortably handle. Julian starts by eating her out and soon she is very hot and bothered. Scene 3 – Peaches, John E. Depth

To be honest, I don’t remember this scene that well. I remember I liked it but it was nothing special. Peaches is average looking and her performance was average.

Scene 4 – Audree James, Julian St. Jox

Negatives

There’s little not to like in this one. Except for the first scene, all the girls looked hot and performed well.

Lasting Impression

Dymes turned out to be good feature. All of the dark chocolate honies really shined in this movie.

The DVD

The only thing worth looking at is the behind the scenes featurette. It’s cool to see the women as people. Video Team/Afrocentric puts the same trailers on every release.

Summary

Get Dymes if you like quality black porn. If you like it rough and nasty, you won’t like any of the scenes presented here. If you like ghetto bitches, stay away from this. Although this movie has a common premise to each scene, it’s really gonzo in form. There’s no plot or characters to speak of.

Reviewer’s Tilt

This reviewer prefers to watch Black women. The women should be women and not girls. Young or ‘teenish’ girls are turn-offs. It’s more of an attitude thing than age because some 18-yr olds can hold their own better than some 25-yr olds. Though the reviewer likes Black women, he does not care for ghetto, thuggish, or hoodrat types. The women should be refined and polished and appear to be into what they’re doing.

The types of movies the reviewer enjoys are those that display women enjoying themselves and taking control of their pleasure. We don’t like scenes where the woman is subdued, submissive or otherwise giving the appearance of discomfort and/or displeasure. Further, the production values need be high-end. This means the photography and editing have to be up to par. Music is a non-issue unless it’s intrusive. There should never be any aspiring rapper trying to impress me during a scene. If there’s some playing over the intro to a scene, it’s fine but have the sense to turn it off once the action begins.

Many, many people seem to enjoy facials. I’m not one of them. I don’t consider them to be part of the scene and in 99% of the time, the woman does NOT appear to enjoy it, which violates one of my principals of enjoying the movie. I also don’t care for anal. Most reviewers cry foul if a girl doesn’t do anal. I would watch it as long as it’s done right and there is nothing nasty dripping out of the anus and I don’t have to see up into the girl’s intestines because the sex session has turned into a colonoscopy exam. Another facet I dislike is DP’s or any variation of them. To me, two (or more) dicks within a 12 inch radius is gay. I don’t even like a girl trying to suck two (or more) guys off at the same time. It’s very sluttish and unerotic to me. God forbid she try to stuff two dicks in her mouth at the same time. You can’t convince me that two cocks rubbing together is not gay.

A lot of guys don’t like lesbian action. I do. I didn’t at first but once I decided to watch a scene instead of fast-forwarding past it as usual. I liked it a lot so I decided to try an all-girl movie. I REALLY liked that so from then on, I began to enjoy lesbian action. The appeal there is you don’t have the disruption of a closeup of a guy’s face (or backside). You can concentrate on the lovely curves of the ladies. And the ladies almost always seem completely comfortable and genuinely aroused in a lesbian scene. That being said, the women HAVE to be into it for the scene to be enjoyable. It’s a real waste of time if she’s not, even more so than in a boy/girl scene.
