Dymes 2 Review

General Impression
I've seen Dymes, also directed by Diana DeVoe. I was fairly impressed with the quality and this chapter had some attractive cast members, namely Courtney Devine and Candice Jackson. Given the combination of production quality of Video Team releases and the cast, I thought this one would be worth a try.

Scene 1 - Ice LaFox
Ice LaFox is up first. Like the original Dymes, each scene is prefaced by the star explaining her definition of a 'dime'. I really could care less about this part. Being called a dime is a compliment that someone gives you; you don't call yourself a dime. To do so would be a little arrogant. Anyway, Ice meets her partner outside next to a couple of parked cars. She pulls his pants down and goes down on him. Then they move inside and sweat it out on a couch in a dark room. Ice looks incredible in this scene. Normally, Ice is emotionless but in this scene she is very erotic. She has long legs and a fantastic ass which is on display during the cowgirl and doggie. The scene was shot well and the performance was great. Ms. Devoe is off to a good start.

Scene 2 - Candice Jackson
Candice is goddamn fine. I saw her in a scene with Diana DeVoe before and was in awe of her body. She has it all: face, legs, ass and breasts, all perfect. This was my first time seeing her in a boy/girl scene. Candice has great oral skills and she works her partner out like a professional. Ms. Jackson is going to be consistently fantastic performer if this is typical of her. Another great scene.

Scene 3 - Vanessa
Ah, another comeback. I remember Vanessa from some of the early Sista and Baby Got Back series. Vanessa was always cute but she didn't have a particularly hot body. A little girlish, in my opinion. It's been a few years and now she has matured. She looks a lot more womanly. This is the first time I heard her speak and I didn't realize she had such a pronounced accent. Her body hasn't changed much except she's a little better filled out. She gives good head, albeit a little brief. Vanessa screws very well and she really looks like she's enjoying herself. After this scene, I knew I made a good pick. Three great looking women in three great scenes.

Scene 4 - Courtney Devine
The girl from the box cover is up next. Courtney is the reason I wanted to try this movie. I saw her in Baby Got Back 31 and became an instant fan. Courtney is very cute but in naughty kind of way. She also has thick shapely thighs along with a juicy ass. Her figure is amazing. In her other scene, Courtney screwed with kind of reckless abandon which I didn't like that much but her looks took precedence. She also made a lot of noise. In this scene, she is a little bit more calm but she still makes plenty of noise. Although the scene was hot, I would have liked to see a few more positions. It seemed to end a little too soon.

Scene 5 - Hypnotic
I'd seen Hypnotic in a couple of other movies and at first I didn't like her. For one thing, she's very young looking. I don't like that. I like women who look and act mature. She's also on the skinny side and not strikingly good-looking. After watching her sexual skills though, she began to grow on me. The best thing about Hypnotic's body has to be her breasts. They shapely and firm, similar to Lacey's. Unfortunately, her breasts didn't get much screen time in this scene. Hypnotic took on two guys and demonstrated her oral skills in great abundance. Though she's slim, she has a very nice ass and it was on display plenty during the doggy and cowgirl. The scene ended for me once she engaged in the DP since I abhor watching that. There was plenty enough good sex up until that point though, closing out a fantastic movie worthy of purchasing.

Negatives
There are really no negatives to take notice of. The quality of production is very high; great makeup and wardrobe, great camera work and editing, great performance by the women. If anything, a couple of the scenes could have lasted longer. Despite the nice production values, this movie is still gonzo. There's a brief setup and then the scene commences. There's no plot or story. If you need that sort of thing, you'll be dissapointed.

The DVD
It's important to be able to skip past BS you don't want to see. In that regard, Video Team needs to learn that viewers don't want to be forced to watch phone sex commercials. Every Video Team DVD that I have seen has this issue. It's gotten worse in the last two years' releases because you have to sit through a website promo in addition to the phone sex commercials. The only recourse is to FF through them at double speed.

Summary
All in all, Dymes 2 was fantastic. All of the women were good-looking and all performed their scenes well. I would pay full price, up to $25, for this one. Diana DeVoe is proving to be great director. I hope there is a Dymes 3 on the horizon.
