DVDA: Double Vaginal Double Anal 2 Review

Initial Thoughts: I honestly hate doing one of these faulty reviews. It makes me feel like I have not done my part to report to all of you the goodness or badness of this disc. However when 3 standalone players, a PC drive and a PS2 all have identical issues with a given disc, I feel it is a needed review to let all the rest of you know of the fault and possibly save one or two of you the grief I am experiencing right now. There are links to two nice reviews of this disc on the upper right hand corner of this screen, of people that had a usable experience with this disc, so for the actual down and dirty contents, I direct you to those reviews.

Now onto my issues. The disc looks perfect, it loads perfectly into each player, the menu's come up I have no issues watching any of the bonus materials or navigating the menus. So for that atleast I can provide a review of the extras. However if I either try and play the disc, or access any chapter from the chapter menu, all 5 units just stop playing the disc. They just stop, no lockups, no nothing. There is no way for me to view the actual feature. It appears to me to be more of a compatibility issue or possibly some flaw in the mastering of the disc itself, rather than just a plain defective disc. It is because of that reason that I bring it up, otherwise it would likely just go into the recycle pile or return it for another, and no word of it be spoken. The other reason is that I tried it on 5 players that I own, ranging from just 4 weeks old, to over 3 years old, and also from the high end of the spectrum, down to just a cheaper 125 dollar stand alone player. So I feel my own spectrum of machines is wide enough to cover quite a few of the rest of you out there, and that with identical results, this may be an issue that others could experience too.

I'm a big fan of the stuff DVSX puts out, and this is not an issue they alone have to deal with, and I hope this doesn't discourage you from checking out this title or others, based on my situation, merely that you may want to consider a rental first. I also write this, because frankly it's becoming a more and more common occurance in the adult industry. I have rented or own nearing 1,000 mainstream titles, and I have not once had a disc that matched technical flaws on more than 2 machines, and there have been scant few that have had any technical flaws at all. While I realize the mainstream companies budgets are unbelievably massive compared to porn studios, it is becoming way too common in adult movies. Quality control needs to be a lot better to prevent these kinds of things, if a few adult studios can accomplish it well enough, so can the rest. I just believe it helps once and a while to have these situations brought to attention. I hope this is one of those times.
