Dude Looks Like a Lady 2 (Legend) Review

Initial Expectations: I have no clue what to expect, but I keep hearing Randall in the great Kevin Smith’s Clerks saying, “C’mon man, chicks with dicks!”. Yeah, this is a cross dressing feature not a she-male feature, but it’s close enough for the condition I’m going to be in watching it.

Initial Reaction: Now that I made it through this, I might be able to make it through The Crying Game.

Who Should Watch It : Fans of cross dressing and guys taking it up the ass from girls

Who Should Avoid It: Sober people

Audio /Video Quality: The audio isn’t quite up to average quality, but isn’t too far off. It’s a little on the low side, but fairly well balanced. There’s a few places where you can hear the stars getting directions. The video is slightly grainy, but also not too bad. The lighting is surprisingly good, which I’m not sure is such a good thing. There’s a fair amount of slow motion, which looks kind of like it was controlled by somebody with an itchy finger on the pause button of the remote.

Music: There’s very little music, but what there is normally isn’t balanced too badly with the rest of the audio and is very cheesy.

Menus: The main menu actually has a little animation and some fun music. The chapter menu lets you choose a scene based solely on a small clip of the scene.

The Feature: Every now and then a reviewer, in this case me, decides to reward themselves with a feature. This is not one of them times, and in fact, I have no clue in hell why I’m watching this movie. It’s often been said to wait twenty minutes after eating before going swimming, and in this case I decided to wait well over an hour afterwards for fear of much the same cramps. After carefully pouring my beer, knowing that I might need every single drop possible, I headed in. I apologize if I get wordier than normal, or start getting really emotional. It’s not the movie. It’s the beer.

When Marshall O’Boy comes home, rather than being presented with the beer that seems like it should go with something like this, his wife Lisa Lixx has him strip down and dress up in some women’s clothes. She has him start with the panties and stockings, but then has him remove the panties and put on a garter belt instead. She even has him put on a bra, lipstick, and a pink wig. Lisa seems pretty happy with his outfit, but Marshall doesn’t claim to be too enthusiastic about it. Next, she has Marshall help her put on her pink strap-on, whose color was no doubt chosen to match his wig. Lisa makes Marshall get on his hands and knees and suck her “cock” while she calls him a gutter slut, asks him if he knows where the dildo is going, and smears some more lipstick on him. She has him stay there and fucks him up the ass while calling him a bitch and a slut. She also fucks him in the ass with a couple toys, and lets him lay back and stroke his cock for part of it. Finally, Marshall jerks himself off ending with a fairly small pop. Although slightly disturbing, I actually had some beer left by the end of the scene. The best thing, or possibly the worst thing depending on your view of things, is that the camera rarely journeys away from the close-up insertion shot.

Baba Gee comes by to see Lisa Lixx next, and also gets a little surprise. For those who have a shaving kink, she starts out shaving off his goatee, and then suits him up. Baba seems way to familiar with the routine, and ends up looking like he’s ready to be the newest backup singer for Britany Spears. As soon as Baba’s fully suited up, drops her robe to reveal her little surprise strap-on and has Baba get down on all fours on the couch. Lisa puts on some rubber gloves and spanks his ass. They’re fairly light slaps, and not nearly as hard as a reviewer should be hit for actually putting this into their player. Baba lets Lisa fuck him from behind, as he lays on the couch, and finally rides it himself while he strokes his cock. Finally Baba lets go with an average pop onto the floor between Lisa’s legs. Although I can’t say I particularly enjoyed this scene, both Lisa and Baba seem to as they can barely hold back the laughter at times. I’m sure this is the second stage of acceptance of movies like this. I readily admit to being in the first stage where I can barely move out of fear that if I do my stomach is going to revolt. There’s not quite as much attention paid to the close up insertion shot this time, but it’s still the predominant angle during the scene.

Angelo D’Angelo makes Shawn Islander reconsider ever going out with the guys for a few hours after work again when he gets home. He gets stripped down for some action, but sadly doesn’t run away when she tells him the fishnet stockings she bought are for him. His true nature comes out, however, when he questions whether some of the items really go together or not. Fashion questions like that make most guys wonder about certain things, but when the guy appears in features like this, the suspicions are confirmed before the question even rears its head. Although not my thing, I have to admit that it’s kind of a fun scene from the start. Angelo and Shawn do have some very nice chemistry together, and laugh and joke quite a bit. In addition to the standard outfit, Shawn also gets a little blush, or whatever that stuff women brush on their cheeks is. The brush comes in handy, as Angel moves down to fuck Shawn’s ass with the brush. Shawn takes it very well, so Angelo breaks out the other makeup as well. Somehow I controlled the spasms enough to not hurt myself too badly when Shawn confesses that the mascara feels much better in his ass than on his eyes, and soon after takes Angelo’s vibrating strap on in his ass after giving it a little oral work up and lube job. Angelo fucks Shawn in a few of the common positions, such as doggie and a kneeling missionary / scissors position as he jerks off until he pops on his stomach. It’s easily the best of the three scenes here, if there is such a thing.

I don’t know who said “That which does not kill you makes you stronger”, but I do know that I’m feeling a little weak after watching this feature. Thankfully there isn’t any real plot to follow other than unattractive women making their guys dress in women’s clothing and then fucking them in the ass. It’s a simple premise, and one of the few times when the KISS rule doesn’t really hold up. The final scene between Anglo D’Angelo isn’t too bad, but Lisa Lixx’s constant swearing got old before the beer even kicked in. I don’t know if this is standard for this type of feature or not, and no I don’t plan on finding out, but she definitely brought the feature down for me. She also brought it down to the point that I think fans of this genre might want to rent it first, since she’s definitely not going to be for everybody.

Extras: Bios are included for Baba Gee, Shawn Islander, Marshall O’Boy, Angelo D’Angelo, Lisa Lixx, and The Sissy. Each bio includes a photo and a little information about the star. The Sissy’s bio also includes a short interview. The slide show lasts about a minute and a quarter with about four seconds per disturbing photo. Of course, there’s also web links, but the main extra is a seven and a half minute behind the scenes featurette. As a behind the scenes, it’s not worth a heck of a lot. There’s a few sequences when you get to see the cast working together, but there’s also a lot that’s just the audio over the picture when it’s kind colored and framed. Although it adds a little, it doesn’t add much more than that.

Raincoat Factor: Very high or very low, depending on your perspective

Overall: Currently, Dude Looks Like a Lady 2 can be found online for between $14.50 and $25 with quite a few stores offering it near the low end. Since this kind of thing ain’t really my thing, I can’t compare it well to others like it. It seems a little below average, only due to some of the attitude in it. The transfer is much the same way, having a few minor problems, as do the extras, which are kind of fun.

Note to Legend: Although behind the scenes featurettes are nice, in the future, please actually put something in rather than taking the movie and rehashing a few scenes to make up the most part of it. Also, please don’t overestimate the running time, as it leaves the customers feeling ripped off.
