Dripping Wet 5: Krazy in Kauai (Jill Kelly Productions) Review

Dripping (Fucking) Wet is a series directed by Tabitha Stevens for Jill Kelly Productions. Now that Tabitha has left JKP, Dripping Wet 5 is probably the last of the line, but Tabitha will continue to direct and perform in adult features. reviewer, astroknight & Topper have done an excellent job reviewing all of the previous instalments of Dripping Wet, and the Jill Kelly Productions website provides useful descriptions and scene breakdowns of most of its movies.

Tabitha’s fourth directorial effort, DW5: Krazy in Kauai is a Hawaiian adventure with five sexy starlets, including Tabitha herself. It is hard to ‘classify’ DW5 in one main category, which is not necessarily a disadvantage but would imply that viewers looking for a specific genre set of elements may not be wholly satisfied. Overall, I think this title is most suitable for couples looking for more natural gonzo-ish (rather than feature film) sex and who aren’t averse to seeing two, three or four girls in a scene.

Extras comprise a 5-minute behind-the-scenes, a behind-the-scenes for one of the Perfect Pink series and some photo galleries. I don’t mind the light extras but I have two particular gripes with the A/V quality in this title. Firstly, though adequately-filmed, the lighting and filtration seemed slightly off throughout the whole movie. Not so much that it detracted significantly when watching the scenes, but it was noticeable and it didn’t help.

Secondly, the audio was poorly balanced and that did detract a lot from my enjoyment of the scenes. The sound levels of the performers’ voices were consistently lower than both the background noise and music, and it was hard to make out what they were saying. Increasing the volume was necessary, which also raised the music and background noise. Hopefully this technical flaw is absent in JKP’s newer features.

Tabitha Stevens introduces us to DW5 “Hawaiian-style”. Although relatively new to directing, Tabitha has been performing for over five years and is one of my favourite stars. She now sports dark brown hair instead of her trademark blonde, and will be keeping that colour for a while yet. Her face is older and slightly harder but she still has a great body (and why haven’t I noticed her ass previously?), and she’s always had great energy and on-screen presence. Tabitha hooks up with Dillon Day in the opening scene. Unfortunately, the b.j. is brief and poorly-filmed, which is a waste of one of her best assets – her legendary oral skills, including the wicked hand-mouth twist. Dillon goes to work on her pussy for quite a long while, then she mounts him (condom) and they screw in a few positions, before he pops on her stomach and left breast. Although this scene wasn’t bad, it lacked something in terms of chemistry.

Jill Kelly masturbates with a vibrator as Devon and Barrett Bangwell walk on the beach. Jill has a healthy body with nicely implanted breasts, but her damp hair in this scene is messy and ratty, which ruined her appearance. Devon is still a fresh-faced cutie, also with huge, slightly overdone, implants. She and Barrett catch Jill in the act and spring for a threesome. Devon starts sucking Barrett’s cock but again the b.j. is brief and poorly-filmed. Barrett takes Devon from behind on a couch, as she clamps her mouth onto Jill’s pussy. The sex is routine and a bit over-acted, and leads to Barrett pulling out to cum on Devon’s neck and tits. She and Jill kiss and Jill drools some spit in Devon’s mouth, which she swallows (Jill seems genuinely fond of Devon). Again however, there was a lack of chemistry in this scene.

Kianna looks like she could be Hawaiian. She has a tanned body and dyed blonde streaks in her long brown hair. She and Dale DaBone get friendly and naked, and she kneels to blow him. Unlike the previous scenes, the oral action is decently-filmed and goes for a while. He eats her, then they start screwing. There’s better energy and even a mild facial to cap things off, but this scene wasn’t particularly outstanding. In addition, some of the blue-filtered cuts (including the cumshot recap) were annoying.

Dayton, Devon, Phoenix and Tabitha model on the rocks in fetching outfits, before caressing each other on the beach and finally moving indoors. Tabitha looks better here than in the first scene, as does Devon. Dayton and Phoenix are two slightly above average blondes. Tabitha mentions that all their pussies are completely bald, which is a big point-scorer in my book and doubly so in an all-girl scene. Tabitha dives right into Dayton’s pussy without even a perfunctory kiss, while Devon sucks Phoenix’s right nipple for a few seconds (which looked fantastic). Unfortunately, Devon also moves onto the main course quickly. While the following licking was good, the absence of any kind of foreplay really brought the scene down. The blondes play with Tabitha’s pussy as she inserts two fingers in her asshole, then the girls go down on Devon. There are some nice close-ups of the cunnilingus and the scene shone in a few ways, but the total absence of even token foreplay disappointed me. Thankfully toys were avoided, but no kissing is no good!

Finally, Kianna, Phoenix and Tabitha reunite with Dale and Dillon for a lounge-room romp. Kianna and Phoenix begin sucking cock and Tabitha joins in shortly later. There’s a nice amount of oral work but a lot of it is brought down by the obscured R-rated shots. At one stage Dillon has all three girls passing his penis between them like a lollipop. Nice work if you can get it! Tabitha mounts Dillon (condom) for some RC while Kianna and Phoenix (Dale is out of the scene for a short while). The girls swatch around and Dillon fucks Kianna while Dale reappears to screw Phoenix. The sex here was better-filmed and there was decent chemistry; the scene felt less choreographed than the previous ones. Finally, the girls kneel in front of the guys and Tabitha and Phoenix receive a small amount of cum on their chins.

This is followed by the behind-the-scenes segment, which brings the title up to 85 minutes. Although not the strongest offering one could have hoped for, it was a pleasure to see Tabitha in action and there are a few good moments in this movie.
