The Short Story

Initial Expectations: I’ve been impressed by a lot of what I’ve seen from Bizarre lately. I’m looking forward to this one.

Initial Reaction: I’m sure there are people out there who will like it, but it wasn’t for me.

Who Should Watch It : Anybody wanting a variety of bondage action.

Who Should Avoid It: Anybody wanting actual sex

The Technical Stuff

Audio /Video Quality: The audio quality is okay, and nothing special one way or another in any way. You can clearly make out the dialogue, and I didn’t hear any background noises. If I was going to use one word to describe the video quality of Dresden Diary 20, I’d have a hard time deciding what word to use, but I’m sure it would be one of the many that describe excrement. It looks like it was taken from about a fourth generation VHS copy. It’s normally well lit, but there’s so much other crap that it’s barely watchable.

Music: None

Menus: The audio quality is a little below average. It’s balanced okay, but there’s a hiss in the background and the level is a bit low. The main menu has some okay animation to help it give a decent first impression. The chapter menu is okay, and lets you choose a scene based on a small clip of each scene and a scene number.

The Feature

Although she’s never told anybody else what happened to her at Dresden, Tiffany decides to tell Summer after she asks about her diary. She starts with her boyfriend Damion dropping her off and goes through her diary telling Summer every sordid detail. She knows she would have liked to leave at almost any moment, but due to her love for Damion she remained there to learn how to love him better and to show her love for him.

Scene 1 - Tiffany Mynx and Johnny Roxxx

Tiffany starts things out being taken to Dresden while blindfolded by her boyfriend Damion, who leaves her with Johnny. When Tiffany talks out of turn Johnny starts her lessons off by covering her mouth and then chaining her arms to a nearby doorway. He hikes up her dress and puts chains around her until she’s completely restrained. He makes sure that Tiffany gets the message she’s supposed to receive until Mistress Rebecca comes by wanting her new slave and tells him to release her.

This is a very different scene, and didn’t do much of anything for me. I understand what it’s to be about, and the scene did draw it out nicely, but it just didn’t work for me. I found myself bored with the scene even though both Tiffany and Johnny did a very good job in their roles.

Scene 2 - Tiffany Mynx and Rebecca Lord

Sindee starts out the second scene worshiping Mistress Rebecca’s boots as Blacksmith Johnny brings in Tiffany on her knees. Mistress Rebecca gives Johnny Sindee to take away before she turns her attention to Tiffany. She examines her new slave before putting her through the paces seeing if she can follow simple roles while spanking her. Tiffany tries to please her mistress, but just doesn’t do a good enough job for her, so Mistress Rebecca decides she needs to be punished. Tiffany retrieves Mistress Rebecca’s whip and lets her whip her back. Tiffany begs for the whip after a bit, and Rebecca encourages it all until Master Greene arrives.

This is a pretty good scene. It’s nicely varied and you can tell that Tiffany is getting into it a bit. Rebecca plays the Dom quite well also, although there are a few points where it appears that she’s not quite in full control.

Scene 3 - Tiffany Mynx, Deva Station, and Master Ernest Greene

Master Ernest starts things out with Tiffany letting her know that his job is to teach her that she can become anything he wishes. She and Deva are cuffed against a stairwell so that Master Ernest can work on them with his ‘futuristic’ device that gives electric shocks as he moves it across each of their bodies, giving them both pleasure and pain before flogging them. He turns Deva loose after restraining her so that anybody who wants to molest her on the way back to her room can, before concentrating on Tiffany fully. He ties her arms back so that she can’t do anything to him even if she so desired and then gives her a pair of nipple clamps and weights, bells, and pussy clamps. He then leads her off for a tour of the castle.

This is a very nicely done scene. I’m always impressed with Master Ernest Greene, as he always looks like he’s really enjoying himself and seems to show a lot of concern about the other performers. He talks his way through everything so that you always know what’s coming (unless of course you’re not supposed to), and never seems the least bit sadistic. It’s that kind of care and enjoyment that makes this scene a winner for me.

Scene 4 - Skye Blue, Sindee Coxx, and Deva Station

Mistress Skye starts out the final scene whipping Sindee and Deva’s ass and tits before Master Ernest brings her Tiffany. Mistress Skye removes the weights and clamps that Master Ernest put on her while telling her that she now has to endure a test of pain. She whips the girls on the front and back before spanking Sindee’s feet with a wooden slapper until she can’t take it any more and leaves. Deva gets her turn next with Mistress Skye’s riding crop all over her body. Deva begs for mercy when Mistress Skye puts her in positions and threatens to treat her like a man, so Mistress Skye commands her to leave. Finally, Mistress Skye turns her attention to Tiffany. She works Tiffany over and takes the hood of Damion to show her that he’s been watching the entire time. Tiffany thinks her training might be over, but Mistress Skye works her over a bit more.

This is another pretty good scene. Skye plays the bitch dom extremely well, and nicely balanced out Ernest’s benevolent Master. Skye varies the pain nicely through the scene, and I like how she worked on the girls as a group as well as one on one. This is a very good scene to end things with.

Dresden Diary 20 is a pretty good bondage feature, but not one I’d recommend for people first getting into the bondage side of things. The scenes vary quite a bit from one to another, going from slow and drawn out with Johnny Roxx to a nice pace and a bit of variety with Master Ernest Greene. I can’t say that the entire movie worked for me, but there were some nicely done scenes here that I could appreciate quite well even if I couldn’t quite get into them. Dresden Diary 20 is an okay bondage feature that’s probably best left to extreme bondage fans.

The photo gallery contains about fifteen very nice looking snapshots (with two per screen) and okay looking full screen photos. The Bottom Line:

Currently, many Bizarre DVDs can be found online for between $14 and $28 with most stores offering them for over $20. Rent this one before you buy it. The action won’t be for everybody, but more importantly if you’re looking at buying it, the video quality is barely watchable. There’s also nothing special here for extras.

Note to Bizarre Video: It appears that this is one of your earliest DVDs. Due to the horrible technical aspects here I hope you consider remastering it and re-releasing it in the future.
