Doors Cut Down is a softcore, gay, plotted short movie that is a coming of age story by writer and director Antonio Hens. Doors Cut Down tells an age-old story about a teenager, Guillermo (Israel Rodríguez), except unlike most coming of age stories, this one has a major twist — Guillermo is gay. Guillermo has a girlfriend Laura at school and his father (Juanma Lara) doesn't know about his sexuality — nor does he publicly display his sexuality. He goes to the mall to hook up with other men — until he gets caught.

Doors Cut Down deals with Guillermo coming to terms with his own sexuality and his journey to being comfortable with his sexuality. The short movie is well done with a nice tight story that manages to get the viewer into the characters fast but also manages to tell a well-developed story. Doors Cut Down could have been expanded into an actual movie length presentation easily with all of the potential subplots that exist within the short movie without harming the quality of the presentation. However, Doors Cut Down does well as it is presented as a short movie as well.

The cast in the movie does an amazing job with their roles and really bring the characters to life — which isn't always easy in such a short time. The locations used in the movie are excellent and overall, Doors Cut Down does an excellent job of conveying a coming of age story many viewers may not be familiar with. Doors Cut Down is definitely worth watching.

The edition of Doors Cut Down screened is the streaming only version available on NakedSword. NakedSword Film Works has done an excellent job with their streaming release of Doors Cut Down. Doors Cut Down was shot digitally and is presented in the anamorphic widescreen aspect ratio of 2.35:1 in 1080p. The image quality for Doors Cut Down is excellent with a beautifully clean, crisp, and clear image with great colors.

Doors Cut Down is presented with a Spanish Stereo audio track. The dialog in the short movie is clear and easy to understand at all times and there are no noticeable issues with the audio at all. There are burned in English subtitles for the short movie.

NakedSword Film Works hasn't included any extras for their streaming release of Doors Cut Down.

Doors Cut Down has been released by NakedSword through their NakedSword Film Works (NSFW) division that was launched in 2016 to exhibit gay independent movies that aren't exactly pornographic yet aren't exactly mainstream. Doors Cut Down is a gay softcore short movie that tells the story of a gay high schooler who is coming to terms with his own sexuality. Doors Cut Down is well worth watching and NakedSword Film Works has done an excellent job with their streaming only release of the movie.
