NOTE: This is an amateur video. Amateur and homemade movies don’t have the budget nor the resources of studio porn, and therefore rarely get close to the same quality technically. I’m rating this DVD on the same scale, but most homemade or amateur features would rarely make it above a 3 on the standard scale I use for studio porn for their technical aspects. The performers also aren’t normally the ‘glamour stars’ one expects from studio porn, and instead use people who look like somebody you might encounter in your day to day life. Finally, the camera work has a different feel, as it’s often shot from a tripod or with somebody who doesn’t have the technical training or experience of professional cameramen. That said, amateur and homemade features have a great charm to them, simple because the people in them are doing what they’re doing to have fun and because they enjoy it. All the things that separate them from studio porn contribute to that charm, I hope people will keep that in mind when checking out this review and not just look at the ratings as the ultimate word on this release. Since the technical aspects are normally lacking and there normally isn’t much for extras in amateur features, I’ve weighted my overall rating more heavily towards the sex than I do in most studio porn.

The Technical Stuff

Audio /Video Quality: The technical aspects are nicely done. The audio is clear and well balanced, and although there are a few minor background noises they often add to the mood rather than taking away from it. The video is presented in the full frame format, and also comes across very well. There's a little grain and camera motion, but for an amateur release it's very good. The video for Stephanie's scenes are a bit weaker with a lot more camera motion and grain.

Watermark Warning: Although the normally don’t bother me much, there is a small and tasteful watermark warning that stays in the lower right corner for the first scene and the upper right corner for the second scene. This made it very easy to filter out for me, and quite honestly, I didn’t notice it unless I thought about it.

Menus: The menus are pretty simple. The main menu keeps Shot at Home’s usual style with their logo and a photo from the movie. The chapter menu is also simple, and lets you choose where to go in the movie based on six stills.

The Feature

This is a darn hot scene. There's a definite party atmosphere to the scene, and although there's several definite breaks in the action, it comes across as one big fuck session. The chemistry between the girls and Kris is great, and Laura's jumping in and out of the scene helps it out all the more. There's a nice mix of action throughout the scene, and it never feels like any of the group has a strong preference for anybody else in the group and just wants to have fun and help everybody else enjoy themselves as much as they are. There's also a very nice mix of action to the scene, with the toys coming in nicely to help the scene out rather than feeling like a crutch. This is a very fun and hot scene.

Scene 2 – Stephanie and John

John starts the next scene fucking Stephanie missionary style. He rolls off her to play with her pussy while demanding she cum before fucking her from behind. I love that Shot at Home puts this much care into their releases, and it's a good scene to give people try. It's shot in night vision, which means that there's some grainy video, but the action is captured nicely. It's also a more rough and intense scene, which some will love while others will be able to let it go. For me it worked nicely as there was good chemistry between Stephanie and John. This is a nice scene that makes me very curious about Stephanie and John's other releases.

Scene 3 - Stephanie and John

Stephanie starts out the final segment, which is actually presented in full color, talking into the camera as John fucks her from behind. The camera moves around to show Stephanie working up to four fingers into her pussy as John fucks her, and there's a very good intense feeling to it once again. They keep fucking until the action looks like it's going to go anal, at which point the scene comes to an end.

This is another nice bonus scene, which comes from Stephanie and John 4. I really like how Shot at Home lets you try both Stephanie from her night vision days and full color times. Her scene here has the same feeling of intensity and chemistry, and once again my only complaint is that there wasn't more here. This is a pretty hot scene.

Donna and Kelly is a very hot and fun release. Although the action is a bit broken up, it feels like one long sex party with the girls and Kris looking like they're all very into each other. Laura helped kick the scenes up even more by not being able to stay out of them, and the feeling of enthusiasm and fun never left the scene. Stephanie's scenes are much more intense, but at the same time I liked them here as they provided something completely different while keeping the high chemistry that Donna and Kelly had. If there's a complaint here I guess it would have to be that Donna and Kelly's scene seemed a bit short and Stephanie's were a bit of a tease as filler rather than being a full scene (which I'll admit I would have preferred). At the same time, I can't help but love that Shot at Home cares enough about their customers that they put in something extra when they think their main feature isn't quite what their customers normally expect to try to make it more worthwhile for them. Here it pays off as it makes me very curious about what Stephanie's movies are like after watching her here. Donna and Kelly is a hot fuck flick that's worth checking out.

The Bottom Line:

Currently, most of Shot at Home's DVDs can be found on their website for around $20. As usual with Shot at Home, this is an amateur release that's worth checking out. The movie's basically just one scene, but it's nicely broken up with plenty of variety. The technical aspects are pretty good, and as usual there's a bit of effort put into the extras. This is yet another hot and fun Shot at Home release.

Note to Shot at Home: Thank you for paying so much attention to what you're putting out. A lot of other companies would have just put out a short feature and not put the extra care in that you did with the bonus Stephanie clips. They were a nice choice, and now you have me curious about yet another of your series.
