The Short Story

Initial Expectations: Fucking in the Name of Science didn't do a lot for me. Although I have a touch of hope for this one, it isn't much more than that.

Initial Reaction: It's a fun idea that shows promise at times, but there's enough going wrong behind the camera that it rarely gets close to its potential.

Who Should Watch It : Anybody wanting fun setups with plenty of anal action

The Technical Stuff

Audio /Video Quality: The technical aspects are okay at best. The audio is normally nicely balanced, but there are a few minor background noises as well as level changes that interfere with the audio. The video is nicely presented in anamorphic widescreen, and even mixes full color and “grainy” black and white for a nice effect. There's a touch of grain, but sadly, that's where the good news ends. There's lighting problems in almost every scene and it's not uncommon to have a bit of camera motion in the scene. If that isn't enough, the editing is also on the rough side.

Music: None

Menus: The main menu works through a little animation to settle on a still with a little background animation. The chapter menu is nicely done, and lets you choose a scene based on a small clip of each scene and the name of the girl in the scene. You can also choose a scene based on a photo of each girl and her name, which also lets you choose where you want to go in each scene sexually.

The Feature

At the MaCock Institute, Doc MaCock and his diligent crew of doctors are working to unravel the mysteries of sexuality. The relationship between scent and sex drive, the female psyche, and even the greatest mystery of all... female ejaculation are just a few of the subjects they dare to explore.

Scene 1 – Nicole Sheridan and Voodoo

Dr. Druel, aka Voodoo, starts things out exploring Nicole's psyche where he learns that she's quite slutty and has a thing for brainy scientists. This isn't too bad of a scene, but there's nothing too special or memorable about it either.

Scene 2 – Julie Night and Chris Cannon

Dr. Chris Cannon tests the effects of different scenes on Julie with no results. When he finally splashes some high grade athletic sweat on himself she can't get enough at even starts howling. The lighting is much better here, but the camera work still seems a bit lackluster. This isn't too bad of a scene.

Scene 3 – Nikki Hunter and Nick Manning

Sadly the lighting leaves a bit to be desired as you get to see the camera lights flashing in the mirror and there's frequent shadows from the blinds. Maybe it would be more accurate to say that there's frequent light lines from the blinds as once again the lighting is on the low side. This is a pretty hot scene, but sadly that ends up being a bit disappointing as it had the potential to be a lot hotter than that.

Scene 4 – Angela Stone and Chris Charming

Chris's experiment relates to female squirting with the help of hot blonde subject Angela. Evan stops the experiment to make sure Chris wears some eye protection, but afterwards Angela feels drained and needs help in finding more. She breaks out Chris's cock to start sucking before letting him go straight to fucking her missionary style. This is easily one of the best scenes in the movie. There's great chemistry between Angela and Chris, and she lets go with plenty of squirts as well as plenty of great ass action. Surprisingly, the technical aspects are nicely done, and quite possibly the best in the movie. This is a fun and hot scene.

Scene 5 – Shy Love and Evan Stone

When somebody calls in to support the clinic promising a five grand donation if Dr. MaCock himself, aka Evan Stone, can make sexy Latina Shy back like a dog, he starts to turn them down. When Shy hears it's for five grand, however, she starts barking and Evan steps up to the plate. They kiss before Evan lays her back to tongue her twat, and they don't waste any time with things like a little oral action for Evan before he starts fucking her in a near piledriver as Shy lies on the edge of the couch. Evan also takes her from behind and lets her ride him reverse cowgirl style before finishing things up with a nice facial.

This is a pretty good final scene. Shy and Evan get into each other quite well and put out some very nice energy as well as some good vocals. Unfortunately, once again the camera work and lighting holds things back with a fair amount of low lighting, funky focusing, and camera motion. I could actually feel my eyes starting to hurt a bit watching this scene, which is never a good thing. Once again, I wanted to like this scene but I just couldn't care about it too much.

Doc MaCock is an amusing idea that just never really lives up to its potential. There's a great collection of talent here, and almost all of them have shown themselves to have some good comedy chops as well as being able to fuck like crazy. There's some nice humor to start out each scene, and it often continues into the scene. There's also nice chemistry in the scenes and some good anal action in almost every scene. Sadly, that isn't enough here and the blame lies entirely with Caesar Bonobo. Basically the problem is that it doesn't feel like anybody other than the performers and whoever wrote the script cared about the movie. The camera work often feels like a well done homemade movie with a bit of camera motion in every scene. There's also frequent lighting problems with the overall lighting of the movie being on the low side of things. There's frequent shadows, and some of them are laughably bad such as the shadows from the window blinds that take up most of the screen in Nikki Hunter and Nick Manning's scene. I want to like Doc MaCock, but it feels so cheap and cheesy that I just can't care about it too much. This could have been a great fuck flick if it would have had somebody decent directing it.

The Extra Stuff

The slide show lasts about two and a half minutes with about six seconds per very good looking snapshot or full screen photo. There's also a behind the scenes featurette and plenty of commercials.

The behind the scenes featurette lasts just under ten minutes and is presented in the full frame format in black and white. Angela starts things out chatting about squirting and her first squirting experiences before giving a little demonstration. Nikki is next, who chat about her upcoming experiment. Amanda St. James chats about sucking cock and her tits before moving on with Voodoo and Nicole. As Voodoo explains some of his experiment Nicole plays with buttons on his controls and adds some airheaded comments. Finally, Julie talks about how she found out about the MaCock Institute and what she hopes to get out of the experiment. This is a very fun behind the scenes featurette. The cast and crew nicely stay in character making this seem almost like an extension of the movie itself. There are a few sex clips, but for the most part this is mostly the cast playing with their characters.

The Bottom Line:

Currently, many of Hustler’s DVDs can be found online for between about $16 and $25 with stores offering it everywhere in between. Aim low or rent this one first. The movie's rather amusing and has some good sex, but the video frequently holds it back. There's a bit of effort put into the extras to help it out, but this one still doesn't make it much past the average mark.

Note to Hustler: You had a fun idea here. Now please send Caesar Bonobo back to his job as a jizzmopper and bring in somebody who knows how to make a movie.
