Synopsis:
This is the eighteenth volume in one of Ed Powers popular long running gonzo style all sex adult film series, which features amateur females being introduced to the world of porn by him.

Audio/Video:
Dirty Dirty Debutantes 18 is presented with an English 2.0 Mono track which works well for the material being presented in the film. Since the movie was original made with low grade equipment and low production values this is probably the best that could be done with the original source material. New Machine hasn't included any foreign language tracks or any subtitle options for the feature film.

Dirty Dirty Debutantes 18 is presented in the full screen aspect ratio of 1.33:1, which is the original aspect ratio for the film. As far as Ed Powers films go, the video presentation presented here is rather good. The image is clear and although it reveals the limitations of the source material, it could be much worse.

Special Features:
There are several extras on the disc and although none of them deals with the feature film, most of them do have to do with Ed Powers. These seem to be the same extras as available on all of the Dirty Debutantes series discs. First up is the photo gallery containing twelve stills of now famous porn stars from other Ed Powers Debutante films. Love From Ed is a three minute video clip of Ed Powers rambling to the viewer. There is a text biography of Ed Powers career. Transmissions contains audio excerpts from Ed Powers radio show Bedtime Stories from KLSX 97.1 FM, Los Angeles, California. The final extra is trailers for Cockless 1, Real Naturals 3, Global Warming Debutantes 11, Dirty Debutantes 47, Dirty Debutantes 157, and Dirty Debutantes 185.

Disc Design/Navigation:
This disc is designed in the same manner that most of the earlier Dirty Debutantes discs were designed. The main menu allows you to pick which woman you are interested in or to play the film in it's entirety. If you pick on a woman, you get to pick from six different chapters for each scene, each identified by a video clip. There are 31 chapter stops within the film itself. There is a time code encoded on the disc for the feature film.

General Review:
I've never been a fan of Ed Powers films and this one has done nothing to change my opinion of them for the better. For shoe who have been lucky enough to never have witnessed a film by Ed, I'll give you the lowdown first. Ed is an older, overweight, balding man with a pony tail who loves to feature himself in his films. To make things worse, he keeps his glasses on during the sex scenes. On top of this, he uses low quality equipment and revels in the low production values he uses in his films. There are times when the picture gets out of focus and you can often see the production equipment.

As far as to how this volume differs from the other ones, the women present, for the most part, don't add up as well as the women usually used. Ed is known for getting very good looking, usually new to porn, women for his films. In this one, the women don't end up looking as good as they usually do. Also missing is the presence of either Jake Steed or Cherry Rain, both Ed Powers regulars.

The sex scenes are decent, but run for way too long. The movie runs for two hours and twelve minutes and only has three sex scenes in it. Given that this is an all sex film, none of the run time is used up in a plot. I think even loves of long sex scenes will find these run for a little long. Another bad aspect to the film is that the two male/female scenes are structured exactly the same. Given that there are only two of them it would have been nice to have some variances to them. The sexual themes in the film are vaginal sex with female masturbation, pussy eating (male to female, female to female), blow jobs, lesbianism, and vaginal toy use. For viewers that care about condom use, there are no condoms used anywhere in the film.

Scene Synopsis:
The first scene brings us Melody Love and Ed Powers and starts out with some female masturbation before going into the pussy eating. The scene then heads into some vaginal sex before taking a break for a blow job. The scene concludes with some more vaginal sex. The second scene brings us Kami Boh and Cecelia and includes pussy eating and vaginal toy use. The third and final scene brings us Charmane Star and Ed Powers and starts out with some female masturbation before going into the pussy eating. There is a blow job before a reprise of the vaginal sex to end the scene.

Parting Thoughts:
As far as Ed Powers films go, you can do better and worse than this entry. The girls don't look as good as usual and Ed is the only male in the film. If you are a devoted fan of Ed Powers or one of the stars, you might want to pick this one up, otherwise I'd pass.
