Synopsis:
This is the sixth-ninth volume in one of Ed Powers popular long running gonzo style all sex adult film series, which features amateur females being introduced to the world of porn by him.

Audio/Video:
Dirty Debutantes 69 is presented with its original English 2.0 Mono track, which is all that is necessary for the film due to its style. The limitations of the original source material are present but don't detract from the viewing experience. If anything it adds to the amateur styling of the film. The dialog is clear and can be heard most of the time. For some reason, portions of the audio in the scene with Gauge are censored and replaced with the standard TV censor beep. New Machine hasn't provided any other language tracks or any subtitle options on the disc.

Dirty Debutantes 69 is presented in its original full screen aspect ratio of 1.33:1. For the most part, the picture quality is good with a clear but slightly soft picture. The color levels are appropriately balanced and the print only contains occasional video glitches. I didn't notice any blemishes or artifacts while viewing the film. Viewers shouldn't be disappointed by the video quality offered here.

Special Features:
There are several extras on the disc and although none of them deals with the feature film, most of them do have to do with Ed Powers. These seem to be the same extras as available on all of the Dirty Debutantes series discs. First up is the photo gallery containing twelve stills of now famous porn stars from other Ed Powers Debutante films. Love From Ed is a three minute video clip of Ed Powers rambling to the viewer. There is a text biography of Ed Powers career. Transmissions contains audio excerpts from Ed Powers radio show Bedtime Stories from KLSX. About New Machine contains the contact info for New Machine Publishing. The final extra is previews for Cockless 1, Real Naturals 3, Global Warming Debutantes 11, Dirty Debutantes 47, Dirty Debutantes 157, and Dirty Debutantes 185.

Navigation:
There are two main means of navigation for the film. From the main menu you can select from the different scenes, identified by a video clip and the female talent present. From the chapter menu, titled 'Action Menu' on the disc, you can choose from 36 different chapter stops, each one identified by a video clip and the female talent present in the scene. There is a time code encoded on the disc for the feature film. Given the style of the film, this navigational system allows easy access to any area of the film.

General Review:
Ed Powers, what can I say about him and his films. Ed makes cheap looking films that don't have to look as cheap as he makes them. If he worked at trying to improve the production values of his films, he might be able to churn out a decent project. It's doubtful that his films could ever be as good as what comes from Anabolic, Red Light District or Evil Angel, but they could surely be a lot better. The biggest problem that Ed has, besides casting himself in his films, is the shoddy camera work. Good camera work can make a scene and poor camera work can destroy a scene. The camera work in Ed's films looks slightly better than one might make at home, which although adds to the amateur feel of the film, can ruin many a good scene.

The tag Xpanded Edition on the box is very deceiving as me, along with most viewers, would expect the sex scenes had restored removed footage or other scenes shot for the film that didn't make it. This is not the case here. The original film is intact with its two hour and six minute running time and the rest of the extended time is created by adding scenes from other Dirty Debutantes series films that are also available on disc. These added scenes should really be referred to as bonus sex scenes and not be used to make the run time of the film look longer than it actually is.

The females in the film range from what I consider not very attractive to very nice looking and most bring some great energy to the film. The scene with Ice is a definite exception to this rule where she looks like she really doesn't want to be there and has a deadpan expression on her face during the scene. Not that I can blame her considering whom she was fucking at the time, but it completely ruins any chance that this scene had of being half way decent. This scene is also ruined by Ed's incessant taking of pictures and using the camera while he is having sex with her.

As far as the sex scenes go, they are decent considering the limitations of the film. There is nice variety to the scenes so the film doesn't get too monotonous. This film contains several stars, Anita Dark, Carmen and Gauge, that have gone on to a successful adult film career. The scene with Gauge should be enjoyed by her fans for a different side of her back when she was still nervous to be in front of the camera. The sexual themes in the film are oral, vaginal and anal sex with toys, female masturbation and lesbianism. For viewers that care about such things, there are condoms used in some of the scenes but not in others.

The Scenes:
The first seven scenes are from More Dirty Debutantes 69. The first scene brings us Justine Reague, a gothic looking female who would look better with real eyebrows instead of having them painted on, paired up with Ed Powers. The scene starts with Justine masturbating before Ed has vaginal sex with her. She gives him a blow job and they go back to the vaginal sex to finish the scene. The second scene brings back Justine Reague for a scene with Jake Steed where she gives him a blow job and then has vaginal sex with him.

The third, fourth and fifth scenes are all connected. The third scene brings us Carmen and Anita Dark for some lesbian pussy eating action. The fourth scene brings back Carmen and Anita Dark for a scene with Jake Steed that starts out with a blow job and some female pussy eating before Jake has vaginal sex with Anita. The fifth scene brings back Carmen for a short scene with Ed Powers for a blow job and some vaginal sex.

The sixth scene brings us Shahayla, an attractive girl with an 80s hairstyle and Patricia Hott, whom I didn't find to be that attractive, with Jake Steed. The scene starts with just Shahayla and Jake with some pussy eating and a blow job. At which point Patricia joins for some more of the blow job before Jake has vaginal sex with both females and anal sex with Shahayla. The seventh scene features the very cute Genee Rogers with Ed for some pussy eating, a blow job and the vaginal sex.

The eighth scene, from More Dirty Debutantes 129, features a young Gauge with Mojo. Gauge is noticeably nervous in the scene that starts with her masturbating before giving Mojo a blow job. They have anal sex followed by Mojo eating Gauge's pussy before going into a 69 position. The scene concludes with vaginal sex. The ninth and final scene, from More Dirty Debutantes 191, features Ice with Ed and starts with some female masturbation before Ed eats her pussy. Ice then gives Ed a blow job before they have vaginal sex.

Parting Thoughts:
If you're not a fan of Ed Powers, this film isn't going to change your mind, but this is a disc that fans of his film will want to pick up due to the decent cast and good video quality. Fans of Carmen, Anita Dark or Gauge may want to pick this disc up as well for an early glimpse of their favorite star.
