Initial Expectations: I’m hoping that at least the girls are cute.
Initial Reaction: It’s better than I expected, but that isn’t too hard.
Audio /Video Quality: As can be expected with any amateur feature, there are some problems. Surprisingly, there aren’t a lot of these problems here. For it’s age and type of feature, the video is pretty good. There are a few focus problems, but not a lot of them and they’re fixed fairly quickly. The audio is very good in the sex scenes, but in the interviews some of the dialogue is hard to understand. There’s also some bad background noise in a few places.
Music: None.
Disc Problems: The feature is split between two main chapters (as is the time code). The first lasts 83 minutes and the second 55 minutes. You can’t scan back from the second main chapter into the previous chapter.
False Advertising: It’s advertised as ‘Interactive - Pick Your Debutante, Choose What She does!’. There’s no interactive features on this DVD. You can choose which debutante you want to go to on the main menu, but that’s it. Most companies call this ‘chapter selection’. I almost gave this DVD a 2 for an overall rating, but because of this I dropped it to a 1 ½ and almost dropped it to a 1.
Review: Well, this is it. My first Ed Powers review. I can’t say as it’s something I’ve been looking forward to, but sometimes you’ve got to take one for the team. Everybody has their own description of Ed, and they’re always colorful descriptions. I myself am expecting him to move into mainstream movies. He’s a natural as The Toad in the X-Men movies. I suppose nature movies would also work. Despite Ed’s chances of a beautiful girl kissing him to turn him into a prince, I do think he cares about his work. There are many times when he stops what he’s doing to go back and adjust his camera to get the view he wants. Unfortunately, he’s the only one working the camera, so if he wants it right he has to do it himself. Sadly he normally manages to keep himself in the picture also. Luckily, most of the time the women are fully in the picture.
The first lovely lady is Vlotka Kumskova, a cute auburn haired beauty with real breasts. She has a pretty good grasp of English, but unfortunately she also has to get a pretty good grasp of Ed. Ed asks her a few questions and takes a few photos before joining her on the bed. Vlotka has some good energy in the scene, but unfortunately Ed seems to live up to his reputation of being mean to the girls. Ed also seems kind of lost in the scene as he keeps looking at the monitor. Neither of these things hold Vlotka back from trying to have a good time and the scene ends up being enjoyable despite Ed’s obvious flaws.Next up is Heidi Voodenshu, a very hot Swedish blonde also with real tits. She appears to be intelligent, as she tells Ed she’s only going to masturbate for him and not have any sex with him. Despite her obvious intelligence, she doesn’t have a good hold on the English language. She doesn’t understand some of the questions Ed asks when he’s asking her to take it off in his “But your honor if you watch the videotape you can see her saying she understands what she’s doing” part of the show. She lets him touch her butt but not her tits (smart girl). Finally, she starts masturbating with the vibrator Ed gives her. It’s a very good masturbation scene and one that’s aided by not having Ed on screen. Unfortunately, Heidi made a couple trips to Ed’s house and in the second half of the scene Ed returns the favor by masturbating for her. MY EYES!!!! It’s like looking at the sun with binoculars only after looking at the sun you want your eyesight back. I welcomed the darkness I saw after Ed spanking his lemur (one of the smaller monkeys). In what I am sure is an attempt to rid this from her view, Heidi gives Ed a small blowjob and licks his balls a little while giving him a handjob. Heidi has a lot of potential and I couldn’t help but think of the possibilities of a studio that works with mostly European talent and makes extremely high budget films could do with her. Of course, I won’t mention any names here, though.
Nadia Moore steps up to Ed’s Louisville Slugger next to get a little anal action. Nadia is an attractive girl with fake boobs, no hair down under, and a dark complexion. She has been in several porn movies already but hasn’t had a good anal experience. She thinks Ed’s pee wee will probably be a lot more comfortable. She seems to have a lot of fun in this scene and that really raises it up a couple notches. Somehow she is very comfortable around Ed (I’m guessing drugs) and they have very good banter between them. Although Nadia isn’t the cutest girl here she does give the best scene. She knows what she’s doing and she comes off as being very real.
Mixing it up a little racially, Tina Tai stars in Ed’s next scene. Tina is Oriental with real breasts. I think this is the worst scene in the feature. Tina seems scared, which seems to lend a lot of weight towards Ed’s reputation of being mean to the girls. She doesn’t seem to be having any fun at all during the scene, although she does seem happy afterwards. Sadly, and much like Ed’s endowments, it’s just not enough to make it pleasurable.
Silk (Brooke Lee), another Oriental girl with real tits, also masturbates for the camera. At least she tries to. After a little while Ed starts sticking his twig in her face. What a way to bring down a scene! Although it was good when it was just Brooke, Ed sends this one to the bottom of the barrel just a little above Tina’s scene.
Finally, Ed closes things out with one last short scene with Nadia Moore. She masturbates for the camera and takes a nice facial. It’s a nice way to end the feature. You don’t see Ed and then you get real credits.
Extras: The slide show is manual with about 25 photos. It’s a decent mix of snapshots and full screen shots and range from below average to very good. Most of the pictures in the slide show are on the back of the box, so it doesn’t really add much to the DVD. Trailers are for Exotica Erotica, Dirty, Dirty Debutantes, Black Dirty Debutantes, Dirty Debutantes #47 and #68, and Global Warming Debutantes .

Raincoat Factor: If you can get past Ed, it’s probably pretty high.
Overall: Currently, Dirty Debutantes #51 can be found online for between $20 and $25 with most stores offering it for under $22. STOP THE MADNESS! There’s no reason anybody should pay over $10 for Ed Powers.
