Synopsis:
This is the thirty-fifth volume in one of Ed Powers popular long running gonzo style all sex adult film series, which features amateur females being introduced to the world of porn by him.

Audio/Video:
The available audio track is an English 2.0 mono track, which was never spectacular to begin with. The track is muffled at times making the dialog hard to hear in places. Other than this, the audio track is as good as other from Ed Powers, take that as you want. No other language tracks are available and no subtitle options are available.

Dirty Debutantes 35 is presented in the full screen aspect ratio, which is the original aspect ratio for the film. The picture for the film is below average, especially for the films age. The film is riddled with video glitches throughout. The picture for the film is on the soft side so edges aren't as defined as they could be. The color levels are appropriately balanced throughout the film. The newer scenes in the film have excellent video quality sporting a nice sharp image with no glitches present.

Special Features:
There are several extras on the disc and although none of them deals with the feature film, most of them do have to do with Ed Powers. These seem to be the same extras as available on all of the Dirty Debutantes series discs. First up is the photo gallery containing twelve stills of now famous porn stars from other Ed Powers Debutante films. Love From Ed is a three minute video clip of Ed Powers rambling to the viewer. There is a text biography of Ed Powers career. Transmissions contains audio excerpts from Ed Powers radio show Bedtime Stories from KLSX. About New Machine contains the contact info for New Machine Publishing. The final extra is previews for Cockless 1, Real Naturals 3, Global Warming Debutantes 11, Dirty Debutantes 47, Dirty Debutantes 157, and Dirty Debutantes 185.

Navigation:
The Dirty Debutantes films have a variety of options for navigation present. From the main menu, you can access each sex scene easily by selecting the actress that you want to view. From the chapter menu, titled 'Action Menu' on the disc, you can select from 29 chapters, each identified by the female talent present and a video clip. There is a time code encoded on the disc for the feature film. Given the style of the film, the navigational options give the viewer excellent navigational ability.

General Review:
To begin with, I'll give a brief synopsis of Ed Powers film style to readers who have never experienced a film by Ed Powers. Ed Powers is a very unattractive male who manages to get some of the hottest newcomers to the porn industry to visit his bed upon their arrival. Many of the females featured in his films have gone on to have rather good adult careers. Ed doesn't care about bad production values and his films are choppily edited.

That said, Ed must have his fans since he has put out volumes upon volumes of these films and if they weren't making a profit he wouldn't have made it this far. The best aspect of his films is that the female talent isn't up to professional status at the time of filming so the obviously fake sexual reactions aren't present and they have a lack of fake breasts and tons of tattoos.

The film is billed on the DVD box as the xpanded version, which would make the consumer feel that the scenes are longer than when released in the original film or scenes that were shot for the film but never included had been included on the disc. Neither is the case here. The film still has its original run time of two hours and eighteen minutes. The extra run time is created by adding scenes from other films from the More Dirty Debutantes series also available on disc. If you aren't going to be purchasing the other volumes the scenes are of added benefit to you, but billing the disc as the xpanded version is false advertising as other companies call the same thing bonus sex scenes.

The worst aspect to the film, Ed Powers aside, is the horrible production values. I don't believe that you have to invest large quantities of money to create a decent product, especially in the gonzo genre. But you do have to hire competent help, which Ed has not. His camera man, which is sometimes Ed himself, constantly manages to pick the worst camera angle resulting in a picture where it is too dark to see the action or you can't see the action at all. If this wasn't bad enough, the camera constantly goes out of focus, which horribly distracts from the viewing experience. The end result looks like a film you might have made yourself at home. If you enjoy this type of film, this is definitely a series that you should check out.

The sex scenes are long, so fans of long sex scenes should be pleased with them. The problem is they can go on for too long in some cases, making the viewer wish someone would cum so the scene will end. The female talent present in the film is good looking for the most part with natural looking bodies and only a few tattoos every now and then. The sexual themes in the film are oral, vaginal and anal sex with female masturbation, lesbianism and anal fingering. For viewers that care about such things no condoms are used in the film.

The Scenes:
The first eight scenes are from More Dirty Debutantes 35. In the first scene, Blonde Dee starts out by rubbing Jake Steed's dick for a little while before Jake gives her pussy some oral attention. She reciprocates by giving him a blow job before they head into the vaginal sex. At the end of the scene Ed Powers jumps in for some vaginal sex while Blonde blows Jake. In the second scene, Sabina gives Ed a short blow job before they head into the vaginal sex. In the third scene, Sabrina gives Jake a blow job before they have anal sex.

In the fourth and short scene, Ed Powers has some anal sex with Alexis Hart. In the fifth scene, Alexis starts out by giving Jake a blow job before they head into the vaginal then anal sex. In the sixth and also short scene, Ed has vaginal sex with Alexis. In the seventh scene, Nicole Lace starts out by masturbating before Ed comes over and licks her pussy. She gives him a blow job and they head into the vaginal sex then anal sex. In the eighth and final scene of the original film, Monique DeMoan and Soleil Avalon take on Jake Steed starting with a blow job and ending with vaginal sex.

The ninth and tenth scenes are from More Dirty Debutantes 184. In the ninth scene, Lucy and Tania start out with some lesbian action before Ed has vaginal sex with Lucy. In the tenth and final scene on the disc, Lucy has her pussy eaten by Jay Ashley while Tania caresses with her. Then Lucy gives Jay a blow job before they have vaginal sex. Tania only interacts with Lucy during these last two scenes, the reason given is that she is on her period.

Parting Thoughts:
If you aren't a fan of Ed Powers, this film is not going to make you into one. If you are a fan of Ed Powers, due to the poor video quality present, this may not be the volume for you to pick up as other volumes of Ed's films have been released with much better video quality. Viewers who are die-hard fans of one of the stars may want to pick up this title if they can find it cheaply for a view of their favorite performer when they were starting out.
