Synopsis:
This is the two hundred and twenty-first volume in one of Ed Powers popular long running gonzo style all sex adult film series, which features amateur females being introduced to the world of porn by him.

Audio/Video:
Dirty Debutantes 221 is presented with its original English 2.0 Mono track, which is all that is necessary for the film. Although the dialog can be hard to hear in some places, the track works fine for the material being presented. New Machine hasn't included any foreign language tracks or subtitle options for this release.

Dirty Debutantes 221 is presented in its original full screen aspect ratio of 1.33:1. The print itself is free from blemishes, artifacts and glitches. The color levels are appropriately set for true appearing flesh tones. There is break down in the picture, which appears to be due to using too low a bit rate for the film. The picture is clear, but is not crisp. The definition on some of the edges, not all of them, is lost for some reason on this transfer.

Special Features:
New Machine has finally changed the extras to this disc line and offers the viewer even less than they did before. There is a photo gallery, which contains 12 photos that you have to flip through. This is the same photo gallery that has been present on every other one of the Dirty Debutantes series discs that I have seen. There are also previews for The Younger the Better, Seymour Butts 2: In Pursuit of Pleasure, Up & Cummers 101, Please Cum Inside Me 6, and Dirty Debutantes 46.

Navigation:
The navigation system on this disc is different from the other Dirty Debutantes series films that I have seen. On the main menu, you can select from the females and go to the beginning of the scene or you can select from 'masturbation,' 'blow job,' 'straight sex,' or 'cum shot' to go to those portions of the scene you have selected. The scene Tristan Scott is in, you can only select to start at the beginning of and there is no access from the main menu for Vivian's scene. There is a time code for the feature film encoded on the disc. I guess even Ed knows he's getting repetitive from the look of this new navigation system.

General Review:
Ed Powers keeps on trucking with his apparently popular Dirty Debutantes series with numbers now well into the two hundreds. Unfortunately, as with all series, this one has finally run out of steam. I have never been a fan of Ed from the beginning, but I understand where the appeal of his series has come from. My biggest problems in the past with the series have been the presence of Ed as a sexual object and Ed's lack of technical competency in video making.

Now added to this list is the fact that apparently Ed has run out of steam with the series. There used to be variety to the sex scenes present in the volumes combined with the attractive girls. Now the sex scenes just follow a set formula with a variance or two here and there. And we aren't just talking about the order in which the sexual acts are done in the film, but with the positions used within the particular sex acts as well.

Ed has caught up with the twenty-first century and started using condoms in his films, for protection of the girls I would assume. He's even started using them for all of the blow job sequences. I'm a huge fan of seeing a good blow job, but when the dick is all wrapped up in a latex sheath, the scene doesn't work as well for me. This film also contains his new cum shot technique, which is to cum into the condom and drizzle the white liquid onto the female's chest. This does absolutely nothing for me. I don't find it to be very erotic and felt let down at the end of each of the scenes by it. The sexual themes in the film are oral and vaginal sex with female masturbation. For viewers who care about such things, condoms are used in every scene in the film and in the blow jobs as well.

The Scenes:
In the first scene, the attractive Buffy St. Claire pairs up with Ed Powers for a scene that starts with her masturbating. Ed then eats her pussy for a little before she gives him a blow job (with a condom on). Then they go into the vaginal sex and he comes in the condom and drizzles it on her chest. Afterwards she masturbates again for a little. The second scene brings us Loni with Ed and again the scene starts with Loni masturbating for us. Afterwards, Ed eats her pussy before she gives him a blow job (while wearing a condom) and then they go into the vaginal sex. Ed cums in the condom and drips it onto her chest to close the scene.

The third scene has Nico joining Ed and yet again the scene starts with Nico masturbating for the camera. Ed eats her pussy and then she gives him a blow job (with a condom on) before they go into the vaginal sex. Ed cums in the condom and drizzles it on her chest at the end of the scene. The fourth scene is just Tristan Scott who masturbates for the camera. Enjoy the difference of this scene as it is right back to the formula for the last scene.

The fifth and final scene in the film, which for some reason was unreachable from the chapter menu, brings us Vivian with Ed for another formulaic scene. Vivian starts the scene out by masturbating for us before Ed dines on her pussy. Afterwards she gives him a blow job (while wearing a condom) before they head into the vaginal sex. Ed cums in the condom and drips it onto Vivian's chest and she masturbates wearing his spunk to close the scene and the film.

Parting Thoughts:
This series has become probably as bad as it can. The sex scenes are uninspired and each one looks like the one before it. Even fans of Ed Powers will most likely be disappointed in what this offering has to give. If you are thinking of a purchase, I highly recommend giving it a rental first as what little appeal this series has had in the past is all gone.
