Synopsis:
This is the one hundred and sixth-fourth volume in one of Ed Powers popular long running gonzo style all sex adult film series, which features amateur females being introduced to the world of porn by him.

Audio/Video:
Dirty Debutantes 164 is presented with its original English 2.0 Mono audio track, which is more than adequate for the film. As there is nothing more to the film than sex and dialog the monaural audio track works fine. The dialog is clear though most of the film, although there are a few problem areas, nothing that will destroy your viewing experience though. New Machine hasn't added any other language tracks or subtitle options to the disc.

Dirty Debutantes 164 is presented in its original full screen ratio of 1.33:1. The picture quality present on the disc is good with no artifacts, blemishes or glitches that I can remember. This disc is hardly reference quality, but given the limitations of the original material this disc is probably the best we'll ever see. The color levels are appropriately balanced for true flesh tones.

Special Features:
There are several extras on the disc and although none of them deals with the feature film, most of them do have to do with Ed Powers. These seem to be the same extras as available on all of the Dirty Debutantes series discs. First up is the photo gallery containing twelve stills of now famous porn stars from other Ed Powers Debutante films. Love From Ed is a three minute video clip of Ed Powers rambling to the viewer. There is a text biography of Ed Powers career. Transmissions contains audio excerpts from Ed Powers radio show Bedtime Stories from KLSX. About New Machine contains the contact info for New Machine Publishing. The final extra is previews for Cockless 1, Real Naturals 3, Global Warming Debutantes 11, Dirty Debutantes 47, Dirty Debutantes 157, and Dirty Debutantes 185.

Navigation:
This disc has two main ways of navigation through the film. From the main menu, you can select from the two main scenes, each identified by a video clip and the female stars present in the scenes. From the chapter menu, titled 'Action Menu' on the disc, you can select from twelve chapter stops in the film, each identified by a video clip and the female stars present in the scene. There is a time code encoded on the disc for the feature film. Although the navigation isn't as good as on past Dirty Debutantes discs that I have seen, there is still decent navigational ability present.

General Review:
Not being a fan of Ed Powers, I got a huge surprise when I watched this film and found that I truly enjoyed it. Yes, Ed's technical inadequacies are all present, the bad angles, shoddy camera work and the cheap set and yes, Ed Powers is the only male present in the film. But the sex present in the film makes up for all of the normal problems associated with an Ed Powers film. This film goes to show that even a bad film maker can create a good film.

Although it isn't listed on the box, the disc itself claims this is the Xpanded Edition of the film. This means, from past experience with Dirty Debutantes discs, that bonus scenes from other volumes of the Dirty Debutantes series are added in at the end of the film. This is not the case here, as this is the exact film that appeared on the VHS release with no extended scenes or bonus scenes added.

Although I am not a fan of Ed Powers films, I could not help but enjoy this film. This was not due to Ed's efforts, but due to the first seven scenes in the film. Carmen Diago, Cherry Rain and Kitty Marie bring some incredible energy to the film and create such a fun series of scenes, which lasts for an hour and a half, that I couldn't help but like the film. They even manage to over power the presence of Ed Powers. The unfortunate part is the only other scene in the film is a letdown after the first hour and a half of the film.

One aspect to the film that some viewers may not like is the first two scenes in the film are interlaced, switching back and forth between them. Depending on how you look at the film there are either two sex scenes or eight present in the film. When doing the scene descriptions below, I have broken the film into eight scenes as the beginning scene does break apart naturally into several different scenes, but they are all connected. The sexual themes in the film are oral, vaginal and anal sex with female masturbation, mutual masturbation, anilingus, lesbianism, toys, feet and strap-on sex. For viewers that care about such things, no condoms are used in the film.

The Scenes:
The first seven scenes in the film are connected and the first two scenes are interlaced. In the first scene, Carmen Diago gets together with Ed Powers for a blow job, some pussy eating, some more of the blow job and then the vaginal sex. The second scene brings us some lesbian action from Cherry Rain and Kitty Marie. The scene starts with female masturbation and mutual masturbation before the pussy eating and some attention to their feet.

The third, fourth and fifth scenes are short. The third scene brings us Cherry Rain with Ed Powers for some vaginal sex. The fourth scene gives us Kitty Marie having vaginal sex with Ed. The fifth scene gives us Carmen having anal sex with Ed.

The sixth scene brings us some more lesbian action with Cherry Rain, Carmen and Kitty with some pussy eating and some more foot attention. The seventh scene brings us Cherry and Kitty for some strap-on vaginal sex and some more foot attention. The eighth and final scene brings us Monica and Ed starting with some female masturbation and then some pussy eating before a little anilingus. Monica gives Ed a blow job before they have vaginal sex.

Parting Thoughts:
Although I am not a fan of Ed Powers films, I enjoyed this one. Fans of Ed's should definitely pick up this title as this is the best film that I have seen as of yet by him. Viewers who are curious about seeing one of his films would be wise to pick this one. Carmen Diago, Cherry Rain and Kitty Marie's scene makes this disc worth the purchase alone.
