Diamond Girl Review

Initial Thoughts:From start to finish, this one is wall to wall Ninn, and in this case it's a good thing, it's very much a lavish stylish movie with plenty of flash and imaginative image story telling. The story is in principle, simple enough about sexual exploration from some blonde sweetheart, and she starts to see all these weird things, some real and some not, and basically dwarfs are her guides into the unknown as she awakens and sees her sexual passions. As often the case with a Ninn production, telling someone about many of the stories he portrays doesn't come close to doing it justice, there is so much imagery that gives the movie it's effect, that you really just have to see it to understand it, and even then some don't. I like the story here, and I liked the sex, very well done and passionate, hard driving and energetic, and at the same time it keeps a nice level of softer erotic motions at most times. I'm frustrated because there is no place on the disc that says which girl is which, the flashes in the beginning don't really help to ID anyone, and I would have really liked to know who I was watching, but that is a small quibble here. Story is good, Sex is good, and Extras are so so, but overall this one is another very strong effort from Michael Ninn, and worth a look.

Technical Considerations: I always find it difficult to critique technically these kinds of features, there is so much effect and visual flash to this movie, that some of what might be considered error in say a straight forward gonzo, is done for a purpose and to add a certain effect in a scene, but then again it still may be an error, I'm someone who is willing to put up with a few things for the proper execution of a vision, so that said, I really don't see much fault in this one, picture quality and sound are pretty good, camera work is more than acceptable, and lighting is very much subject to opinion in this one. The menus are very simple with one page doing it all, but they look nice and work well.

Scene Breakdown

Scene 1: Cute Blond and guy

Duration: 23:40 mins

Scene Thoughts: Great starting scene here, Anna has on a big leopard patterned hat and dress, and she is super sexy all the way through, lot of good energy, the camera work is nice, kind of gives a voyeuristic approach and the couple sort of plays to that, but they don't let it overcome thier coupling, pretty good chemistry between the two of them, and a lot of good tease and eroticism in the scene. Nicely done.

Scene 2: Nikki Blond and guy

Scene Thoughts: Very similar approach as the last scene, again playing to the voyeuristic angle and Nikki really gives some hot looks and plays like she really wants you to watch her fuck this guy. Not as much chemistry as I would have liked to see, but very energetic sex and Nikki made up for the lack of chemistry by really working to make the viewer think thier watching her fuck the guy rather than watching two people together. I would have preferred they not cut everytime they went for a ATM-PTM fake out shot, but still another good stylish scene. The darf collecting money from Nikki was interesting.

Scene 3: Zara Mars and girl

Duration: 22:51 mins

Scene Thoughts: I don't know, this was kind of the weak link scene for me, the girls are very hot, and they do some extensive teasing and playing both by themselves and together before the scene gets going, but they seem pretty distant from one another, and it was much more a lavish tease scene then it was a real scene to get each girl off, it worked on some levels, but I would have prefered to see the girls more aggressive and into one another.

Scene 4: Zara Mars and 2 guys

Scene Thoughts: Pretty good scene here again playing to the watching viewer, for the length of the scene, there really wasn't a lot of sex or position changes, lots of tease lead in, it still was nice to watch the sexy Zara do her thing, and she had some nice energy and got two massive facials for her troubles and jerked the guys off herself which was a very hot ending to the scene.

Scene 5: 2 girls and a guy.

Scene Thoughts: Great closing scene with some nice shots during the sex, mainly featuring the girl from scene one, maybe Kenzie, I don't know anymore. Good energy and again the voyeur approach, I really liked some of the long shots that showed her getting plowed in doggy. Pretty decent chemistry between the two but not great, nice effects that provided a good mood to the scene.

Final Thoughts and Recommendations:

Just good old stylish sex, the story is more imagery than actual developing plot, and it provides a good kind of aura around it with some nice semi fantasy bits, it isn't to the lengths of "Shock" or "Latex", but it's pretty good. This one falls probably between the line of raincoaters and couples, but probably falls more towards the couples foray if anything. It's definately worth a rental, and maybe a purchase if your a Ninn fan or looking for something a little different.
