Initial Expectations: Shane's World normally makes some very fun movies, and Devon seems like she should be a good fit if she can get past her flake factor. I'm looking forward to this one.

The Technical Stuff

Audio /Video Quality: The technical aspects are nicely done. The audio is clear and balanced for the most part, but some of the outdoor sex has some wind noise (with Devon and Jack's scene being by far the worst). The video is presented in the full frame format and also shows some very nice care. There are a few shadows, but also some very nicely done lighting. There's a touch of grain, but the camera work is smooth and never draws attention to itself. For how and where Devon Does Baja was shot, this is a very nice looking and sounding movie.

Music: There's a touch of music, but not much and never during the sex.

Menus: The main menu works through some fun animation and clips form the movie before blending the boxcover and clips from the movie for a nice first impression. The chapter menu is sadly generic, and lets you choose a scene based on a small clip of each scene and a scene number.

The Feature

After bouncing around a bit after a long term contract, fan favorite Devon landed at Shane's World. With a cute and carefree feeling, Devon gathered a few people she knew and headed south of the border for some ATVing, drinking, and of course lots of sex.

Scene 1 – McKenzee Miles and Anthony Rosano

After sending Devon off to grab her a soda, McKenzee decides to start the movie off right. This scene rides along the average level.

Scene 4 – Regan Reese and Justice Young

My only complaint here is that once again Carly gets a nice mouthful of manliness but never swallows it down.

Scene 6 – Devon and Jack Venice

While doing a little sightseeing, Devon and Jack get it on in what looks kind of like a little shop. Scene 7 – Regan Reese and Jack Venice

The entire movie has a great feeling and reminded me a lot of the early years of Shane's World before it got into the college party mood in the mid-twenties of the series. It takes Shane's World back to when it was just about a bunch of porn stars heading off somewhere to kick back and have fun, and what happened, happened. This group is great for that and gives the movie plenty of personality as well as some hot sex. The sex was a bit hit or miss for me, partially because Regan's look just wasn't for me and partially because the locations weren't always the most sex-conducive. On the other hand, Carly Parker does a fantastic job in each of her scenes and Justice Young comes across as a new stud that could be worth keeping an eye on. Devon also gives a very nice performance that should more than please her fans. Most importantly for the sex, it feels like it gives you just what it wanted to and the limitations of the locations don't hold it back much because of that feeling. Devon Does Baja might stumble a couple times, but it's still a very fun porno with natural feeling sex that shouldn't scare anybody off.

If this one sounds at all appealing to you it's probably going to be well worth the money. The sex is fun and natural and the technical aspects are nicely done. There's also some very nice care put into the extra to help things out even more. This is a fun movie on a DVD that shows some very nice care.

Note to Shane's World: This was a very nice change from some of your usual movies coming out right now. I hope you keep letting Devon put them out like this. Also, it would be nice to see a little more effort being put into your chapter menus. I don't know of a single person who prefers a scene number with the clip instead of letting the viewer know who's in the scene.
