Audio /Video Quality: The technical aspects are fantastic, and really help this movie to shine. The audio is clear and nicely balanced. The video is presented in anamorphic widescreen and looks fantastic with some very deliberate care towards the look. There's great depth to the picture, as well as nice lighting and a perfect amount of grain to give the movie a very 70s vibe.

Watermark Warning: The usual Vivid watermark in the lower right corner. It's small, fairly tasteful (if a watermark can be such a thing), and stays stationary making it easy to put out of mind. Although I can't say that I like to see watermarks, if a company feels that's what they have to do in order to protect their product I hope they can keep them as tasteful as Vivid does here.

The Movie: When Skin Diamond tries to testify against some bad dudes, she disappears the day before she's supposed to testify. What the bad dudes don't realize is that Skin has one heck of a bad ass sister in Kimberly Kane, and Kimberly isn't going to let anything happen to her sister.

Devil on a Chain is a great feature full of style. That isn't to say that there isn't any substance here, as Kimberly Kane has a nice plot for the movie, but it's the style that really makes this one work. Devil on a Chain has a fantastic seventies vibe to it, and it permeates the entire movie. The story, music, locations, costumes, and visual style all scream seventies exploitation movies, and it even shows up in little character quirks in the characters such as Snoop's being an acute germaphobe. That isn't to say that the sex doesn't matter or work here, as it too shows plenty of care. There's solid chemistry in each of the scenes, and its captured very nicely. Brandy and Veruca's scene fell a little short to me, mostly because it didn't seem like it knew what it wanted to be. Zak's fantasy went on for a bit, and to have it end up just a short scene between Veruca and Brandy was a bit of a letdown (especially when one considers how solid of a performer Veruca has been this year). If there's a complaint, the only one I could have is that this release left me wanting a bit more. At the same time, I think to add in another character or two for Kimberly to chase down along with a sex scene for them might have made the movie a little too much. Devil on a Chain is a very solid artistic feature that's definitely worth the purchase.

The Extras: Trailers are included for four other Vivid releases. The photo gallery lasts just over five minutes. There's also a behind the scenes featurette, a bonus scene, cumshot recaps, and commercials.

The behind the scenes featurette lasts about twelve minutes and features Hank Hoffman behind the camera. Kimberly talks about all the fun she's had on the set including punching Dana DeArmond in the face. There's a bit more fun thanks to Shylar Cobi behind the camera pointing a few things out on set, and of course plenty of humor with Tommy Pistol around. You also get a bit of flubbed lines and fun on the set. This is a nice behind the scenes featurette. There's a few chuckles and it adds nicely to the overall DVD.

The bonus scene comes from Kimberly Kane's Been Blackmaled. White alt-chick Asphyxia starts out laying on a bed with black alt-chick Skin above her with white marks on her arms, legs, face, and lips.
