Initial Expectations: Kismet has normally impressed me, and with Jamie Huxley and Tiffany Rayne I can't help but have hope for this one.

Initial Reaction: It's fun with a nice reality touch. I think I'm going to have to check out more of this series...

The Technical Stuff

Audio /Video Quality: The technical aspects are pretty well done. The audio is nicely balanced and clear, with a few spots seeming slightly hollow as the camera gets a little further away. There are also some very minor background noises. The video is okay. It's nicely shot in widescreen, but the format isn't give the anamorphic treatment it deserves and is instead given the “black bar” non-anamorphic treatment. The lighting is pretty well done, but there are some noticeable shadows which do interfere a little. There's a little camera motion as well, but it feels natural rather than sharp and jerky.

Music: There's some music during the setup sequences, but none during the actual sex.

Menus: The main menu is okay, and blends a little animation with some okay animation and stills. The chapter menu shows a little nice care letting you choose a scene based on a small clip of each scene and the name of the girl(s) in each scene. There's also a “Select a Star” menu which lets you choose a scene based on a cast photo and the names of the girls that takes you to a secondary menu where you can choose where to go sexually in each scene.

Scene 1 – Jamie Huxley and Jean Valjean

When Jamie answers her door, she doesn't expect to find Mark Kismet and the Hustler crew on the other side to give her the sexual makeover she wrote to them about. Mark takes her in to get her makeup and hair done, and afterwards introduces her to and leaves her in the hands of Jean. They start out with some passionate kissing as they run their hands around each other before Jamie gets down to give Jean a blowjob. This is a great scene. The setup is fun, and there's great chemistry between Jamie and Jean. There's plenty of kissing and touching between them, and Jamie's vocals come across as passionate and natural rather than forced. The camera work nicely mixes up the camera angles, and I barely ever wanted an change in the camera angle. This is a very hot scene to start Desperate House Whores 2 off with.

Scene 2 – Arianna Alyse and Alex Sanders

While working the brush over her car at the car wash, brunette Arianna is happily surprised by Mark and the Hustler crew arriving to let her know that she won the sexual makeover. After getting her makeover and changing into a hot pink bikini, Mark introduces Arianna to Alex and hands her over to him. This is a pretty average scene. Scene 3 – Jessica Jaymes, Victoria Von Helkine, and Evan Stone

It made it a little tough to figure out who was getting fucked sometimes, but both girls got into it pretty well. The thing that held this scene back a bit for me was that the girls just didn't seem to into each other. Well, I shouldn't say that as Jessica seemed nicely into Victoria right from the start. Victoria seemed to like Jessica touching her as well, but seemed very standoffish when it came to licking Jessica and never did so until Jessica told her to late in the scene. The girls have great chemistry with Evan, but the scene lacked a bit because they just didn't seem to into each other.

Scene 4 – Tiffany Rayne and Sascha

Hot dirty brunette Tiffany didn't expect Mark Kismet and Hustler to arrive at her doctor's appointment letting her know that she was going to get some sexual therapy with their sexual makeover. After she's changed into a purple bra and black panties, Tiffany is handed over to Sacha to get it on. This is a pretty hot scene. As those who have watched much of her have come to expect, Tiffany looks great and puts out a great scene. She's energetic and vocal, and Sascha seems to give her just what she's needing. The camera nicely eats up her fantastic body, and makes this another nice scene.

Scene 5 – Nikki Nievez, Chris Charming, and Trevor Thompson

On her way to work, slightly below average looking brunette Nikki is surprised by Mark and the Hustler crew. This was a pretty average scene. I'll admit that it partially suffered because Nikki has that kind of look that makes you wonder “Paper or plastic”, but she does have a very nice body below the neck. The scene also came off as feeling very short with camera work that just didn't work too well for me. I think this was the weakest scene in the movie, and easily my least favorite despite Nikki taking a very good double dose of dick.

Desperate House Whores 2 is a very enjoyable fuck flick. Yes, it's a bit on the short side and a little light, but I still found it nicely enjoyable. The sex mixes things up a bit but stays very couples friendly. The couples friendly feel continues with the setups, where Mark Kismet comes across as friendly and fun. He has an almost game show host feel to him throughout the movie, and where the setups could have come off as dark and revenge driven they instead come across as fun and light due to how much the girls are looking forward to a makeover and a good fucking. Jamie' and Tiffany's scenes were easily my favorites just due to the excellent chemistry, while the two group scenes fell short for me. They're at the very least average scenes, but Jessica Jaymes and Victoria Von Helkine's scene with Evan Stone lacked because of Victoria's not seeming to be into Jessica too much while Nikki Nievez's double dicking didn't work too well due to the camera work. The camera work and editing are sometimes a tad weak, but there's also a very nice balance to the shots which rarely left me disappointed for long. Desperate House Whores 2 isn't anything that's going to change the porn world or how you think about certain sex acts, but it is a very nice sexual diversion. Sometimes that's just what you need.

Director's Profile – Patti and Dick Nasty

The director's profile lasts just over twenty minutes and features Patti, since Mark Kismet knows that most people would rather see hot babes than him. Patti is a joy to watch here. She has the wonderful natural body that only comes with a real women, and seems like she's having a great time throughout the entire scene. Kismet captures it nicely, and the banter is always fun. This is a great bonus scene.

The Bottom Line:

Currently, many of Hustler’s DVDs can be found online for between about $16 and $25 with stores offering it everywhere in between. At the lower end this one might be worthwhile, and as a rental it's definitely worth checking out. The sex is pretty well done with a nice spirit, but the technical aspects are a little weak for Hustler. As usual with Kismet, there's a little effort put into the extras with a very enjoyable “director's profile”. This is a pretty good DVD.

Note to Hustler: It's great to see you including a scene breakdown in your credits, but please be a little more careful in the future as you had the first two scenes mixed up here.
