Initial Expectations: This series really impressed me right off the bat, and I can't help but look forward to each new installment. If being a great series already isn't enough, putting Jesse Jane on the cover makes me look forward to this one even more!

Initial Reaction: It's quite possibly Robby D.'s best work so far.

The Technical Stuff

Audio /Video Quality: The technical aspects are darn near flawless. The audio is clear and well balanced, and I don't think I noticed a single flaw. The video is just as impressive, starting with an anamorphic widescreen presentation. There's an artistic look to the entire movie that's helped out by a lot of shadows, but unlike so many other releases the shadows here actually enhance the movie rather than holding it back due to how well they're handled. There's almost a touch of grain in a couple places, but due to the artistic feel of the movie they don't even stand out. This is a fantastic looking and sounding movie.

Music: The music is very well done. The style varies a little throughout the movie, but its always balanced extremely well with the rest of the movie.

Menus: The main menu nicely blends a little animation with a still similar to the cover for a pretty good first impression. The chapter menu is a bit generic letting you choose a scene based on a small clip of each scene and a chapter number, but also lets you know the name of each girl for the first chapter in her scene.

The Feature

With the Deeper series, Robby D goes with a vignette style. The scenes are all independent of each other, but have a fairly heavy artistic feel that is quick to remind viewers of the camera work he did for Celeste’s movies. Unlike Celeste's movies, however, the Deeper series lets you hear the performers. With the third installment of the series, Robby focuses on horror movies as a theme for the movie.

Scene 1 – Jesse Jane and Tommy Gunn

Jesse starts things out in a cute little white outfit and shoes lying on her stomach watching TV in the dark. When the phone rings it's her boyfriend, and she urges him to hurry up and come over with plenty of “I Love You”s. Feeling a little uncertain, she pulls out her Oija board only to get “Deeper” as the answer to her question. Boyfriend Tommy shows up as she contemplates her answer, and they flop back on the bed for him to pull up her top to get at her big fat titties while he plays with her pussy through her white panties. Scene 2 – Naomi and Marco Banderas

Scene 3 – Hillary Scott and Scott Nails

Scene 4 – Jesse Jane and Scott Nails

Scene 5 – Daisy and Marco Banderas

Daisy starts out on a bed in a sexy black dress with stockings and shoes wearing a collar with a spreader bar that keeps her hands far to the side of her. Marco arrives and gives the bed a slap next to her with his crop as Daisy gets obviously turned on, and then lets her kiss the crop. They kiss each other passionately and he explores her a little while also licking her face before freeing her hands to stroke his cock. There's plenty of vocals and fantastic looks between them, and once again I was more than a little impressed at how well Robby blended art and sex. Daisy and Marco finish Deeper 3 on just as high a note as it started on.

Apparently Robby D. once again misplaced the note that said that Digital Playground is supposed to be just about soft, boring sex for couples who can't handle passion, as Deeper 3 is quite possibly his hottest and best work so far. He did a great job using horror movie setups to start each scene, and made the scenes all the more impressive with some fantastic lighting. The good start wasn't enough for him, however, as every scene here had me in awe. There's extremely passionate sex in every scene, and for those who think Digital Playground and Robby D. are just about soft, boring couples sex, Robby and the Playground have once again proven them wrong. Yes, there's only one anal scene, but I'll take an anal-free movie full of passion like this over the standard anal movie any day of the week. Robby blends some fantastic low lighting situations with the sex in each scene, and every time it drew me in by having almost a mainstream movie-like feel to the camera work while focusing on the sex. There's a great mix of camera angles through it all, and there wasn't a single time where I had the slightest feeling of boredom with a scene or wanted even a slightly different camera angle. If there's any complaint I can have about Deeper 3 it's that it doesn't even last an hour and twenty minutes. I know that a lot of porn fans are going to pass it by for just that reason, but I really can't get down on it because it does flow incredibly well and it drew me in better than ninety percent of the two and a half or three hour movies out there. Deeper 3 is a really fantastic adult movie that definitely deserves to be checked out. If you're a fan of artistic porn, I wouldn't even bother giving Deeper 3 a rental before buying it.

The Extra Stuff

The photo gallery can be viewed either at your own pace or as part of a nearly four minute slide show with about six seconds per great looking snapshot. Cody hangs out around the craft services a bit and chats a bit before getting into the makeup chair. Noami returns for a little fun with Marco and the drowning scene before before a few quick moves around the set and Cody gets to meet Hillary Scott and have some fun. Daisy is next, who chats with the camera and gives a little demonstration of her moves. She even lets the camera and Cody follow her into the bathroom for her post-scene shower. Digital Playground shows why they should have a behind the scenes featurette on each of their DVDs here. You get plenty of personality from the cast and crew, and more than a few laughs. As usual, Cody Bangs provides plenty of humor, and had me about to fall out of my chair laughing a few times. The behind the scenes is as fun as the movie is hot, and is definitely worth checking out.

The Bottom Line:

Currently, many of Digital Playground’s bigger releases can be found online for between about $18 and $28 with a few stores offering them for under $20. Although the movie is fairly short, I can't help but recommend this one. The sex is extremely well done, and very artistic as well. The technical aspects are handled extremely well, and there's some very good effort put into the extras. This is a fantastic DVD.
