Initial Expectations: I’ve really enjoyed this series so far, and am looking forward to this one as well.

Initial Reaction: The scenes vary a bit, but it’s still a very nicely done compilation.

Who Should Watch It : Anybody who’s either a fan of P. J. Sparxx or who’s just curious about her

Who Should Avoid It: Anybody who just wants sex in their compilations or who wants a lot of P. J.’s lesbian scenes

Audio /Video Quality: As a rule, you don’t expect compilations to have consistent technical aspects. Thankfully, VCA pays enough attention to the technical aspects that their compilations are fairly consistent. The audio is normally clear and well balanced, with no signs of dubbing. The video has some noticeable grain, as well as a few remnants in some scenes, which is to be expected with a feature that’s nearly ten years old, but it looks pretty good when one considers the age of the feature and the scenes it contains.

Music: As usual with most compilations, the style and balance of the music isn’t consistent throughout the feature. The style is pretty consistent with your typical porn music, but the balance varies from being way too loud to being nicely balanced.

Menus: The menus are pretty simple. The main menu has a clip from one of the scenes and VCA’s standard format. The chapter menu is nicely done and lists each scene by the name of the feature it comes from and one of P. J.’s partners in each scene.

The Feature: VCA’s Deep Inside series gives the typical compilation feature a new twist by focusing the compilation on one specific star, in this case, P. J. Sparxx. P. J. talks about her first experiences with sex and porn, her fantasies, and love and sex. She also talks briefly about her childhood and some of her hobbies, and gives a nice view of herself as a person.

P. J. starts things off with Marc “Dick O Death” Wallice and and a guy who looks a little like Tom Byron in a scene from Merry Widows. Marc eats P. J.’s snatch until she begs him to fuck her, and then goes directly to poking her pussy on the table as she sucks his buddy. They continue on in the missionary position after the friend disappears, and finish things up with P. J. taking the pop on her stomach. It’s a pretty average scene that’s further limited by the camera work and only having one position.

Sunny McKay gets a piece of P. J. in a scene from Blue Bayou next. They start out stripping on a stage in some very nice fetishy stuff. They play with themselves and each other through the show, but never get too dirty with it. There is a little toy and oral action, but more than anything, this feels like what you’d get form a pair of women on a stage. It’s not an extremely hot scene, but it does seem to work very well for what it is.

P. J.’s first anal, which came with Peter North in a scene from Anal Encounters 6, appears next. She starts out taking her time gobbling his knob before letting him kiss her kitty. Peter moves on to fuck her missionary and doggie style before letting him move onto her ass. Peter warms her ass up with a tongue and finger before fucking it, and finishes things up popping on her ass. It’s a nice scene with great chemistry. Sadly, the camera doesn’t let you see much during the anal, but it’s still a decent scene.

Things return to Merry Widows for P. J. to hook up with Melanie Moore. Melanie works her way from P. J.’s upper lips to her lower lips before sitting on P. J.’s face. They grind their gashes together and kiss a bit to finish things up. It’s an extremely hot scene with excellent chemistry. The energy isn’t over the top, but it is very believable feeling scene.

P. J. takes on T. T. Boy in a scene from Anal Encounters 5 next. P. J. drops down to mouth T. T.’s manhood before he returns the favor with his tongue and fingers. They fuck missionary and cowgirl style before T. T. pops on P.J.’s great ass. It’s a good scene, but not great. There’s nice chemistry between T. T. and P. J., but the scene seems to drag a little. It also seems out of place for a movie with a title like Anal Encounters 5, as there’s nothing close to ass play for either of them. It’s an okay scene, but nothing overly special.

The penultimate scene, which comes from Sexual Limits, pairs P. J. with Randy West. Randy talks down to P. J., who looks great in a little bit of lingerie, a bit before they move on to the make-up sex. He barely eats P. J. before she asks to suck his cock, and then crawls up to let P. J. suck his cock while giving him some great eyes! She moves on to ride him cowgirl style before he fucks her missionary style, and sadly the scene fades out there feeling like there’s still plenty to go. This really brings the scene down, and makes it feel all but wasted.

P. J.’s fantasy finishes things up, which involves her as part of an all girl group with Jeanna Fine, Caressa Savage, Nicole London, and Debi Diamond making up the rest of the group. There’s very heavy toy usage in this scene, and the girls work together very nicely. They nicely warm each other up, with P. J. and Jeanna fine sticking together through most of the early parts of the scene while the other three girls take care of each other and work in and out with Jeanna and P. J. They nicely come together in a huge group to mostly work on P. J., but they also work on each other a bit also. It’s a hot and pretty nasty scene for the age of the scene. There’s plenty of rimming and trash talking, as well as a little anal, and P. J. gets nicely worked over throughout the scene. The girls all seem to be into each other very well and put some very good energy into it. This is a great final scene, and one that should make P. J.’s fans who picked this feature up just for this scene happy they did.

Deep Inside P. J. Sparxx is another nicely done compilation. I’ve always thought that P. J. was absolutely fucking gorgeous, even before she had a few surgeries to enhance things, and she puts it all on full display here. Even better is the fact that this was done before all of P. J.’s surgeries, so you get to see the natural P. J., who I think might have been one of the most beautiful women to ever grace the screens in the back rooms of adult bookstores across the country. As usual, the interview sections give you a nice taste of P. J. as a person, and she nicely works the scenes into the interviews. Unfortunately, some of the scenes leave more than a little to be desired, such as the extremely tame pairing with Sunny McKay from Blue Bayou and what feels like a fraction of a scene with Randy West from Sexual Limits. There’s also some extremely hot scenes, like P. J.’s fantasy scene and her pairing with Melanie Moore from Merry Widows. With the short length of the feature and two duds of scenes, however, Deep Inside P. J. Sparxx seems more like a rental than a purchase for me.

Extras: A short bio for P. J. including a few photos, a list of some of her VCA credits, and a link to one of her scenes starts out the extras. The photo gallery lasts about two minutes with about seven seconds per decent looking full screen photo. There’s also internet and contact information and a few box covers.

Overall: Currently, most of the Deep Inside series can be found online for between $17 and $28, with many stores offering them for around $20. I’d suggest renting this one before you buy it. The sex scenes vary quite a bit, technical aspects show some age, and there isn’t really anything worth mentioning for extras. Granted, there are some hot scenes here, but I don’t think they justify the price tag.
