Initial Expectations: Mother Productions has had some okay movies and horrible DVDs. I want to have hope here, but just can’t get it too high.

Initial Reaction: It’s surprisingly good for a movie and as bad as expected for an overall DVD.

The Technical Stuff

Audio /Video Quality: The technical aspects are okay. The audio is pretty clear, with its biggest problem being a bit of background noise in the final scene. The video is also nicely done. It’s normally nicely lit, but there’s a few soft focus blurs, a little grain, and a little shakiness at times.

Music: None

Disc Complaints: The disc is extremely minimal in any technical ability. Although there are menus, they’re barely even advanced enough to call menus. There’s also no time stamp, which makes the DVD as a whole feel even shoddier.

Menus: Once again, Mother Productions shows what a bad first impression is. The main menu is just a screen letting you know what movie you’ve popped in without any graphics whatsoever. After you click to watch the movie you’re given a second screen which lets you choose between One, Two, Three, and Four (where Four is just trailers and a minute of bloopers). This was a horrible way to start the movie and starts the entire DVD a few steps down for me.

The Feature

The Daily Fruits and Veggies series concentrates on just that. The girls, who are sometimes solo and sometimes with each other, get their pleasure though nature’s bounty rather than sex toys. There’s an occasional lead-in, but most of the time it gets right to the action.

Scene 1 - Katrina Rosebud and Jessica James

Jessica starts things out sitting back on the bed and waiting for Katrina to come home. When Katrina gets home, she shows Jessica what she picked up at the store, such as some nice long carrots. Jessica spanks her with the carrots before they help each other strip down and roughly work on each other’s nipples. They break out a cucumber and carrot to practice a little deep throating before Jessica lets Katrina suck her carrot while fucking her with the cucumber. Katrina also has Jessica finger her (including a little thumb action that isn’t too visible) before deciding that she should give Jessica a little something in return. This is a surprisingly hot and strokable scene. Katrina and Jessica keep things fun and playful the entire time, and there’s a humanity there that really worked for me. There’s a lot of talking through the scene as the girls play, and it helps to drive the scene along while keeping it light. I didn’t expect to be drawn into this scene nearly as much as I was, and ended up really enjoying this scene.

Scene 2 - Michelle Raven and Luna Mia

When long legged brunette Michelle gets home from the store with some fruit and veggies, Luna, a fairly unattractive long haired, heavily pierced and tattooed brunette, isn’t hungry. This is another nicely done scene. Michelle and Luna keep a fun and exploratory feeling to the scene that works very well. They work back and forth well, and I got into this scene nicely as well.

Scene 3 - Barbie Blazer, Katrina Rosebud, and another girl

Katrina shows up with a few veggies for Barbie and her friend in the final scene. While their friend sucks on a banana, Barbie grabs a carrot to play with and Katrina goes right for the cucumber. Their friend steps up to a carrot and Barbie steps up to a cuke like Katrina’s as they talk about dicks and dick size. They lay back on a couch and all fuck themselves before teaming up on their unnamed friend with Katrina eating her pussy and Barbie sucking her tits. Finally the scene fades out with Katrina still going down.

This is easily the weakest scene in the movie. It’s by far the shortest, and the large part of it centers around masturbation. I was a bit disappointed that only one girl got to receive from the others, as well as that one girl being somebody I didn’t know. There’s some nice chemistry and a fun spirit here once again, but the scene lacks a bit by ending with the action still going on. This is an okay scene that would have been much better if it were twice as long so it could finish.

Daily Fruits and Veggies 13 is a surprisingly hot movie. It goes with a simple fetish premise, namely good play and girls fucking themselves with fruits and veggies. It’s not a subject I’d normally go for, but I checked this one out because Katrina Rosebud has impressed me in the past. She does so again, and shows just why this one works. There’s a fun spirit to it that isn’t in a lot of other movies like this. The girls never treat playing with their food as something dirty, instead it’s treated as something fun and experimental. They treat it like it could be a corny idea (pun intended), but in the end something that ended up working for them. The camera work also works pretty well, and moves around just enough to capture everything well with a bit of professionalism. In the end, the biggest problem is that the movie barely lasts an hour, but at the same time, by the time that hour was up I was ready to be finished with the movie. Daily Fruits and Veggies 13 is a different and fun all girl movie.

The Bottom Line:

Currently, many of Mother Productions’ DVDs can be found online for between about $20 and $25, with very few stores offering them. Rent this one first. It’s a fun movie, but I think it might be hit or miss for many people and there’s no way this kind of a DVD deserves that price tag. There’s some nice effort put into the technical aspects but there’s virtually no effort put into the extras or the overall DVD.

Note to Mother Productions / Fetish Films: A little polish could go a long, long way on your DVDs. You have a great start with the movies, now make the DVDs worthwhile!
