The Technical Stuff

Audio /Video Quality: The technical aspects are pretty well done. The audio is clear and well balanced, and I didn't notice a single background noise. The video is presented in non-anamorphic widescreen. It has a little grain and the camera work is smooth and nicely balanced.

False Advertising: The cover lists a photo gallery, a behind the scenes featurette, and website information for extras, none of which are included on the DVD. I was told ahead of time about this problem as well as it being a problem that they quickly realized and which I expect to be solved for future pressings of this release. That said, to be fair I'm deducting a half point from the overall score just as I would for any other release which didn't deliver what it advertised for features.

Menus: The main menu lets you choose between the main movie and chapter menu with a little minor background animation and text choices for both menus. It's far from impressive.

The Feature

As good as the girls are, Kyle is even better. He gives the movie some great humor to start things out as the lovable loser and does a great job being tormented by the ladies. The action is nicely captured throughout the movie and also moves at a very good pace without any blatant editing cuts to distract from the action. If you want mean spirited orgasm denial The Cursed might not be for you, but I really like how the orgasm denial is mixed with a little humor and plenty of enjoyment for the ladies. The Cursed is another nicely done orgasm denial release that shows why Sturgeon Court is one of the masters of the genre.

The Bottom Line:

Currently, many of Venus Girls' DVDs can be found online for between about $18 and $24 with only a couple stores offering them for under $20. If you're into orgasm denial this one should work pretty well for you. The action is nicely done and there's some good care put into the technical aspects. The movie's barley and hour long and there isn't anything here for extras, but that's not exactly unusual for this type of release. This is a well done movie on a DVD that could have used a touch more effort.
