What I Liked
To begin: If you are a Randy West hater, move-on. If you are impartial or simply enjoy women in a more relaxed and less scripted setting, you may enjoy this compilation from some of West’s early scenes in his Up ‘N Cummers series. I will admit right off that I’ve found Randy to be one of the more personable and charming of porn studs. Is he an egomaniac who is past his prime? Perhaps - but he did perform well in his day and he had the smarts to jump on the amateur bandwagon early on and to throw some good wrinkles into the formula. I will admit that seeing the elder West with some of the most nubile and youngest of girls in the industry can become a bit creepy at times, but luckily the scenes captured here are before graying and pre-paunch and the man is smart enough to call in support from some hired guns. What West does in this series is to gather both amateur women who may or may not ever be seen on video again (very few of these are on DVD as of yet) with professional pornlets early on in their careers. Even when we are seeing performers like Stephanie Swift or Felicia, there is an added appeal to seeing their actual sexualities at play. Without the onus of a director asking them to hold uncomfortable positions for the camera’s benefit or formulaic step-by-step staging of sex acts, the sex is more natural, more realistic and more exciting. West is preoccupied on what the female likes, what gets her off – and if you are excited by genuine arousal, this works well.
If you are tired of seeing the more experienced stars, it is just as gratifying to see the stars before they were stars like Inari Vachs and the incredibly adorable Leanni Lei, whose anal orgasms are so intense they may induce you to spew one of your own. Throw in true amateurs or seldom-seen performers like Sabrina K. or Jennae Dess and you have a very decent video.
But what really made this vid for me was the inclusion of two scenes with accomplished performers I would’ve thought I had grown weary of seeing: Jenna Jameson and the beautiful Raylene. I have always been fond of Raylene – she is a sexy woman who performed well and for far too short a time. Beyond her quite vocal fuck, watching a less anal-experienced Raylene getting off with West in her ass was marvelous.
No more need be said ‘bout Jenna than as already been said. What really elevated this particular scene with her for me is seeing Jenna before she was “JJ”. What we see is a sweeter, less glamorous, less hard looking woman with an angelic face and a pre-boob job body that absolutely rocks. I admire Ms. Jameson for what she has accomplished…yeah, the book was aight…but anyone who can view this scalding sexy lesbian scene with Felecia or her earlier scenes with Kylie Ireland or West that were also in this series and not say that she had something special even then is crazy. Like her current look or not, the early Jenna was sex incarnate with eyes that hinted at a more naïve vulnerability that, while appealing, was bound to disappear after any amount of time in this industry. I don’t regularly watch Jenna’s stuff these days and was not even much of a fan before she went girl-only…but I replay these early scenes over and over again.

What I Disliked
As with an pro-am video, you run the risk of the occasional lackluster performance. Jennae Dess does nothing for me. Even in unscripted action, she appears plastic and unrealistic. Sabrina K’s work, even with masturbation, dildo and anal thrown in just fell flat. Again, if you find Randy West's rather self-promoting personality distracting, you will definitely not like this offering.

DVD Quality
This is a difficult one. The advantage to these “reality” scenes is their authentic quality. Using multiple cameras or extensive camera-work of anykind would render the video too slick, polished and professionally staged and detract from that authenticity. With that in mind, there are times when the viewer wishes he could see something other than the current angle. There are occasional shadows or darkened subjects, but to criticize it would mean one has missed the entire point of the video. As with most New Machine DVDs transfereed from video, the extra menu offers basically nothing beyond a gallery.

Overall Thoughts
Reality in porn is rare. I enjoy the natural movements in this entire series and found this particular compilation very good. Felecia’s thorough “working over” of Felecia with fingers, tongue and strap-on is amazing – as are Jenna’s very intense and very real orgasms. Leanni Lei shines here also, as does Raylene. It is amazing to see the tiny Inari Vachs engulf all of Lex Steele – and she does so with relish. For these rare glimpses into genuine sexuality and the excitement of some very beautiful women having very real orgasms, this is an interesting and sexy DVD.
