Audio /Video Quality: As usual with Plum’s foreign releases, the video looks very good. There’s a little grain here and there, but that’s about it. The English audio, of course, is dubbed and often quite amusing. It’s nice and clear, but a lot of the moaning seems very over done and the lines come out quite corny. The original French audio seems pretty well done, and often very different in the sex scenes.

Music: There isn’t music in all of the scenes, but where there is it’s pretty typical and balanced very well with the rest of the audio, sitting quietly in the background.

Menus: The menus are extremely simple, which is pretty normal for Plum’s foreign releases.

The Feature: Croupe du Monde 98 should finally do something that’s been almost impossible in most area of the USA. It makes soccer seem interesting! Of course, I’m sure that well done sex could even make sports like tennis, golf, and sober bowling seem like fun. Philippe Dean is the head of a soccer team and is about to secretly sign superstar player Marc Barrow to his team, who he believes will be able to lead his team to win the World Cup. Unfortunately, Dolly Golden intercepts Marc at the airport, and takes him for a little extra training.

The scene in the broadcast room with Fovea and Dino is a great example. Fovea is in about three setup scenes before they actually have sex, and each time it adds a little tension. It also has several non-sex roles, which almost always adds a little depth to any adult movie. It also gives it a little bit of the feel of some classic pornos, which is a very refreshing change. Croupe du Monde 98 ends up a nice piece of Euro porn that should please many people, whether they’re fans of Euro sex or not.

Extras: The trailer lasts a little under three minutes, and makes this look like a very fun movie. Unfortunately, it’s only in French so anybody without an understanding of the language isn’t going to get the full effect. The photo gallery includes about fifteen nice looking snapshots.

Overall: Currently, Croupe du Monde 98 can be found online for between $14 and $23, with most stores offering it for under $20. At the low end, it’s a pretty fair buy despite the lack of extras. Note to Plum: A few bios or filmographies for some of the cast would be great for helping people recognize the stars without checking the end of the movie. Also, please try and dub your movies a little better. A lot of this was very laughable.
