The original idea behind the story for The Coven Wives may have come from Ira Levin's 1972 novel The Stepford Wives, however, The Coven Wives is not an adult take on his novel, nor any of the Hollywood films based on Ira Lavin's novel either. The story for The Coven Wives is enjoyable and fun to watch; don't expect anything scary though.

In The Coven Wives, writer Cherie (Cherie Deville) has just moved into a new, and unfamiliar, home well out of the closest town after her bad divorce from her husband Mike. She starts to feel isolated and gets in a writing slump until a welcoming committee shows up from the nearby Cove Estates. After Cherie has a dream tryst with the dark and mysterious Katrina (Katrina Jade), Cherie's writing slump disappears but Cherie starts to get the feeling that something isn't right with the overly friendly neighboring community.

The acting in the film is excellent. Dana Vespoli has assembled a great cast that do a wonderful job with both the sexual and non-sexual material within the movie. The Coven Wives is a character-driven movie and all of the cast does a great job of bringing their characters to life. Given the nature of the movie, much of the acting is in the different character's mannerisms and expressions which the cast handles excellently.

The sex scenes in The Coven Wives are great. The cast looks good and they give some hot sexual performances. The women in the movie always appear to be into each other and the sex scenes are slow and sensual.

The story for The Coven Wives is a little on the predictable side. However, that doesn't mean that the movie isn't fun to watch because it is a fun film to watch. The Coven Wives is beautifully shot and features some excellent music that fits the movie very well.

Overall, The Coven Wives is a fun all-girl adult movie. The cast truly is wonderful and the sex scenes are enjoyable to watch. The story isn't the greatest but it holds the movie together well. Fans of the genre should check out The Coven Wives.

Sweetheart Video has done an excellent job with their digital screener of The Coven Wives. The Coven Wives was shot digitally and is presented in the anamorphic widescreen aspect ratio of 1.78:1 in 1080p. The image quality is flawless with beautiful colors and a completely defect-free image.

The Coven Wives is presented with an English Stereo audio track. There aren't any issues that were noticed with the audio and the dialog is clear and easy to understand at all times during the movie.

The Coven Wives is an all-girl hardcore feature movie from director and writer Dana Vespoli and Sweetheart Video. The story for the movie isn't groundbreaking nor does it offer any real surprises; however, the story is still fun and does more than just connect the sex scenes. The sex scenes look great and the cast does an excellent job with their roles. The Coven Wives is worth seeing for fans of the genre.
