The Technical Stuff

Audio /Video Quality: The technical aspects leave a bit to be desired. The audio is pretty clear, but there are a few minor background noises and the balance seems to vary from moment to moment throughout the movie. I was constantly adjusting the volume as I watched it to try to keep things at a fairly even level. The video is okay. It has a bit of grain but is normally nicely lit. It does have a bit of camera shake and lets you see a bit of the camera men and equipment now and then.

Music: The music is a bit loud throughout the movie, and changes in balance slightly while normally being pretty well balanced.

Disc Complaints: The authoring is a bit funky. Each scene has its own title, so depending on how you play the movie you might have to manually start each scene. It also doesn’t always start at the immediate start of the chapter, such as in the first scene where there seems to be a few things before the start of the scene that just seemed kind of slapped in there.

Menus: The main menu is fairly basic and gives you the choices with a few small clips from the movie. The chapter menu shows a bit of care and lets you choose a scene based on a small clip of each scene and the names of the people in it. Oddly, however, it doesn’t have a link back to the main menu.

The Feature

Couples Fantasies uses real couples and lets them act out some of their sexual fantasies. It also works it as a contest where each volume’s winner gets to meet with the other winners at Hedonism III in Jamaica. Each scene starts with the couple or person describing their fantasy before making it a dream come true.

Scene 1 - Smokey, Dee, and Bobby

Bobby starts things out introducing himself first, since he’s the suitcase pimp, before introducing his cute redheaded girl Smokey. He keeps talking about himself with a few comments about Smokey thrown in as well as talking about the scene that’s going to happen between them and Dee. Dee, a nice looking bottle blond-ish girl who’s spent about three decades too long in the sun starts out the scene on the bed checking out a few toys with Smokey. They strip down slowly with Smokey teasing Dee’s pussy with a glass dildo before letting Dee return the favor with a purple jelly dong. When Bobby comes home they have him sit in a chair and watch them instead of joining in, with Smokey quickly moving on to eat Dee’s pussy while continuing to fuck her with the toy. Before Dee can reciprocate Smokey has Bobby join them, and the girls work him over orally with Dee giving him plenty of head. Bobby fingers both girls while Dee continues to mouth his manhood and then fuck missionary style while Bobby and Smokey both work on Dee’s pussy with the dildo and fingers. Smokey also rides him cowgirl style before hopping off and quickly sucking him to a nice pop.

This is a pretty good scene. There’s nice chemistry between the threesome even if Bobby does come off like the stereotypical sleazeball suitcase pimp. Both girls are cute (with Smokey being darn cute) and put some very nice energy into the scene. My problem with the scene is that Dee dominated the oral while Smokey got all of the fucking instead of having them share Bobby more evenly. Even with that complaint, this scene came off the best to me in the movie.

Scene 2 - Dee and four women

After describing her Harem fantasy, Dee sits on a couch in front of a group of women. She lifts up her dress to show what has to offer, and a dark skinned girl becomes the first to move up and sample her. As she works Dee over, two blondes and a brunette slowly move in to help her work on Dee. The woman appears more than a little greedy with Dee, so they back off again until Dee moves down to the floor where the two brunettes get to suck her tits while the other brunette moves around like she doesn’t know where she fits in until the dark girl lets her in to do a bit of muff munching as she takes a break. Finally, Dee looks like she has a decent orgasm while lost under a sea of female flesh.

This scene barely did anything for me. Maybe part of it was because Dee was featured in the first scene, but I think the bigger part was the camera work and the organization of the scene. Yes, this is real sex without the script, but here it seemed like none of the girls knew what they were really going to do so the dark girl just hogged Dee herself. The camera work also left plenty to be desired for me because Dee was the only girl who’s face was shown throughout the scene. Combined with some choppy editing, this scene seemed to go on forever and made me happy I had a remote control. This scene is almost as enjoyable as trying to match bodily fluids with their donors on a college couch.

Scene 3 - Jasmine and Jr.

Redheaded Jasmine and her man Jr. want to get into the swinging lifestyle and confess to being quite freaky at home. They start out with a bit of kissing as Jasmine hops onto Jr.’s lap and lets him start stripping her down. He spreads a bit of frosting across her front and licks it up before stripping down. Jasmine looks like she’s considering doing something with some chocolate syrup, but instead sucks Jr’s cock while fucking herself with a bright chartreuse vibe. She does suck a little chocolate off his cock, and quickly moves on with a bit of doggie, reverse cowgirl, and missionary style fucking. Jasmine goes back to sucking Jr.’s cock, and lets him pop in her mouth after a while.

This is a pretty average scene. Jasmine is cute and puts in some decent effort, but Jr. seemed to be coasting a bit and food play doesn’t do much for me. I was also a little put off by the interview at the end of the scene where Jr. talked about popping in Jasmine fucking her as well as in her mouth. It would sound like a great idea, but I never saw the cream pie. The editing style of the scene made it feel like it was lost to an editing cut. Jasmine shows some potential, but I just couldn’t get into this scene too much.

Couples Fantasies 3 left me a bit cold. On one hand, there’s some nice variety and it’s nice to see some real people rather than the same old porn star. Thankfully the chemistry is pretty good, but it rarely got up to the level I expect with a hot amateur release. I also like the idea of having a contest around this series. On the other hand, there’s enough skill shown that it ends up in the area between amateur and professional where neither style has the strength to really take command so the faults of each come out a bit too much. Although Summer Haze is listed as a hostess for the series, I never saw her and I don’t think she even said anything throughout the movie. I like the idea behind Couples Fantasies 3, but the sex just never came across as too likeable for me. The contest idea seemed to be quickly lost and there’s plenty of full on amateur and professional movies that do the same sex fantasies Couples Fantasies 3 does here better. This one’s easily skipped.

The Bottom Line:

Currently, many of Old Pueblo’s DVDs can be found online for between about $15 and $22 with many stores offering them for under the $20 mark. Rent this one first if you have to see it. There’s some okay chemistry in the movie, but it never really gelled for me. The technical aspects are weak and there’s no real effort put into the extras. This is a lackluster movie on a poorly done DVD.

Note to Old Pueblo: Although there isn’t that much from you that’s really amazed me so far, I like that you’re often trying to do something different from everybody else. Your biggest problem, however, is your authoring, which often comes across as juvenile, as well as your lack of extras. A little polish in those areas would held your DVDs take a nice step up.
