When COP SHACK #1 ended Jason Ridge, the new cop in town, was about to be inducted into the backroom.
But CROSSING THE LINE: COP SHACK 2 doesn’t begin there. Instead we find Diesel Washington, accompanied by fellow officer Trey Casteel, entering a uniform shop to be fitted for a new uniform. The proprietor, a bespectacled Patrick O’Connor, leads him into the dressing room. Trey, who says he has to be fitted next month, follows to observe.
As Patrick kneels before Diesel (who incidentally is built like the proverbial brick shithouse) in order to take his inseam measurement he observes that the crotch is too tight and requests that Diesel drop trou so he can see the problem and “make adjustments”. There is a general rule that sequels are never as good as their originals. This is certainly the case with this uninspired follow-up to a superb original. CROSSING THE LINE is not bad, but it’s certainly not up to Titan’s and Joe Gage’s potential. Perhaps the editing is responsible for defusing the sexual heat that these studs should have engendered. Or perhaps it was just hastily and indifferently done.
What makes the film a must have however is Logan Robbins. I look forward impatiently to seeing him again and again where it is hoped the bill of fare will consists solely of beef (and perhaps chicken) but fish will be off the menu.
