The Technical Stuff

Audio /Video Quality: The technical aspects are well done, just as one would expect from Digital Playground. The audio is clear and well balanced, and I don't think I heard a single background noise. The video is presented in anamorphic widescreen, and looks great. There's a touch of grain to break apart some of the camera shots which worked very well for me, and the camera work is smooth with a great eye and very nicely done lighting.

Menus: The main menu works through the opening credits before settling in on a still with a few of the girls and a little background animation. The chapter menu gives you a clip of each scene and a chapter number as well as letting you know the girl(s) name(s) in their first chapter.

The Feature

In Robby D.'s Control series the only rule seems to be that there aren't any rules. At least, I think that's how he put it in the behind the scenes featurette of one of Digital Playground's other releases. That about sums it up here, except that there's very nice attention put into the tease aspect of each scene and many of them work a video camera into the scenes to help with the artistic feel.

Scene 1 – Aliana Love, Misti Love, and

Control 7 is a hot release with Robby D. continuing to show off a bit of his artistic side. He doesn't get overly artistic with all the wild editing and angles like some directors, and also knows very well that you need to keep a sexy feeling throughout the movie rather than tinting it so that you feel like you're going through the haunted house at the carnival rather than watching a porno. Faye Valentine, Rebecca Linares, and Velvet Rose's scenes were easily the top for me, and had a great blend of sexuality and camera work that made the scenes feel unique, while Alyssa Jordan and Sasha Grey's scenes had trouble keeping up feeling just a little too limited in both the sex and the camera work areas. That isn't to say that Sasha and Alyssa's were bad scenes, as they both made it past the average mark, but compared to some of the others they just couldn't keep up. Of course, it also doesn't help that they had to follow some of my favorite scenes in the movie and I'm not sure that I had enough blood above my shoulders to properly judge them. Control 7 is a hot all sex movie with some very well done camera work and a nice artistic eye to help set it apart from so much of the other all sex porn out there.

The Extra Stuff

The only extras on the first DVD are cumshot recaps, contact information, and a listing of extras to be found on the second DVD. The second DVD has quite a few extras. Trailers are included for Pirates 2, Island Fever 4, Pirates, Control 4, Filth Comes First, Black Cock Slut, and A Jungle Story. The photo gallery can be viewed either at your own pace or as a roughly three and a half minute gallery with about five seconds per good looking snapshot. There's also cumshot recaps and a behind the scenes featurette.

The behind the scenes featurette lasts a little under a half hour. Sasha starts out posing for her stills and chatting with Robby and Brah Bones about porn before they shoot a bit of the scene and Marco cleans up. Afterwards Sasha and Robby chat about going to pick her up some more furry costumes for future scenes. I would have liked to have seen a few more of the girls here, but with the attention Robby gives Sasha, Aliana, and Misti I can't complain too much. My only complaint about this featurette ends up that with how the girls come in one at a time, it would have been very nice to have each of them identified so viewers knew exactly who's who if they're not familiar with all of the girls.

The movie is long with all of the scenes being above average and some of them being smoking hot. The technical aspects are well done and there's some very nice effort put into the extras. This is a very well done DVD.
