Initial Expectations: Robby D. has been putting out some darn hot porn with his “Handheld” label. Although it's the first I've checked out of the Control series, I can't help but look forward to this one!

The Technical Stuff

Audio /Video Quality: The technical aspects are pretty good. The audio is well balanced, but there are some very minor but fairly frequent background noises throughout the entire production. The video is wonderfully presented in anamorphic widescreen. It has almost a hint of grain, which works for the movie as it gives it a touch of artistic feeling, but there are also some shadows that pop up throughout the movie that interfered with the action a bit for me.

Menus: The main menu works a little animation with the boxcover after the opening credits for a decent first impression. The chapter menu is a bit basic with a chapter number and a clip, but also gives you the name of each girl as she starts her scene.

The Feature

Control keeps things fairly simple. There's a slight element of domination to each scene, with Robby D. giving the movie a very handheld feel to the action. The scenes alternate between full sex scenes and tease scenes with Jamie Lynn.

Scene 1 – Brianna Beach and Chris Charming

The second thing that left the scene feeling off was the length. It really started to drag here, and by the end of the scene my eyes started to glaze over a bit. This isn't a bad scene, but I think it could have been handled much better.

Scene 9 – Shay Jordan and Scott Nails

The others are also nicely done, but Mindy made a fantastic first impression on me while Shay continued to amaze me with some great consistency to her performances. I really like how Robby D. seems to let loose a bit in this series, as the scenes have a feeling both of taking the camera work back to basics while the sex gets both kicked up a touch with some of the setups and costumes and taken back to what's sexy with a great emphasis on tease. Control 4 is a darn hot movie, and one that continues to show why Robby D. is one of the best shooters out there right now.

The Bottom Line:

Currently, many of Digital Playground’s bigger releases can be found online for between about $18 and $28 with a few stores offering them for under $20. As usual, Robby D. and DP make it worth your while. The sex is hot and the technical aspects work well for the style of the movie. Unfortunately, there's no effort put into the extras, which does hold the DVD back once again. This is a hot movie that could have really used some extras to make the DVD just as good as the movie.

Note to Digital Playground: It was great to see you starting to include extras on your other releases and earlier installments of this series. I hope they return soon!
