Initial Expectations: Normally I think of Ed Powers as the kiss of death, but I enjoyed Cockless 8 so much that I can’t help but check out a few others in the series.

Initial Reaction: It’s another great installment to the Cockless series and yet another reason I’m going to be coming back for more of this series.

Who Should Avoid It: Anybody who wants heavily implanted and well known girls going at it

Audio /Video Quality: Pretty standard Ed Powers here. Ed is well known for his low budget approach, and things are no different here. The audio is pretty good, but sometimes a little off balance. You can normally hear the girls nicely but Ed’s just a little on the loud side. The video is fairly clear and has a fairly soft feel. There’s occasional soft focus problems, but they rarely last long. There are a few noticeable flashes of remnants, which occur a lot more often than I’d like to admit and are the worst during the first scene. Ed also gets his camera into the field of view and shines an extra light or two around for his pictures that also interferes with things a bit, as well as actually showing his face on screen. The remnants are the worst thing about the transfer, and knocked the rating from slightly above average to just barely below average.

Music: None.

Menus: I have mixed feelings on the menus. Ed has combined the chapter menu with the main menu, which makes things fairly simple. It’s easy to use, but gives the DVD a kind of cheap feel.

The Feature: Once again, Ed Powers takes his place behind the camera. It’s amazing how much truth there is to the old sayings such as “Keep your hands inside the car at all times”, and the very similar ones like “Keep Ed’s clothes on at all times.”. In his Cockless series, Ed brings together some newer female talent, something his Dirty Debutantes series is well known for, with female talent that’s been around for a little while, all while following the old saying and keeping his clothes on.

Ariah Lynn, a nice looking nineteen year old dancer with large decent looking fake tits and a great ass, hops on the bed as Ed tries singing “and they call this girl... Ariah”. She lets Ed question her a little before she strips down and gets down to masturbating for the camera. She moves on to play with one of the generic white torpedo style vibrators, which Ed lubes for her with his own spit, as well as demonstrating some of her oral technique by sucking on the end of a double dong. She works herself over both sitting back and in doggie, and it all has a very slow and very realistic feel to it. Ariah jokes around with Ed and asks him a few questions, which all helps to show that Ariah is a real person who’s having fun. It makes for a nice opener and shows from the start why Ed has a large and devoted fan base even though his technical aspects are normally weak.

Ember, a cute bleached blonde with nice little titties and a bald beaver, shows up on the bed next to work with the great Cherry Rain, an auburn haired beauty who’s a big part of what has made this series so enjoyable for me. They start out with a little kissing before Cherry works her way down across Ember’s smoking body. Cherry finds out that Ember’s ticklish, so the girls have a bit of fun there too. Once Cherry finally makes it down to Ember’s shaven mound, she spends plenty of time licking and fingering it. She looks up fairly often to see how Ember’s doing, which really helps with the chemistry in the scene. She starts working on Ember’s pussy with a modified pocket rocket, but about the time she starts it’s Ember’s turn to go to work. Ember works on Cherry’s bush both naturally and with the toy, and makes Cherry come extremely quickly. They add a double dildo to the mix as well, while still keeping the rocket handy, and finish things up with a strap-on that the girls work through most of the standard positions with each girl both giving and receiving. Ember seems very new to the strap on, both in giving and receiving, but does seem to catch on fairly well. Not surprisingly, Cherry comes off on it almost like she was born with a cock. It’s a really great scene, much of which is due to the great chemistry. Cherry and Ember laugh several times during the scene, both from things going right as well as things not quite going as they were supposed to. Once again, there’s some great reality here and a lot of things that many people would have cut. It’s part of what’s making me happy I gave Ed Powers another chance.

Finally, Cherry Rain samples Florence, a dark haired and very natural looking girl who’s never received a cock on camera and has never had a lesbian experience of any kind. The girls start with a little kiss before Florence starts to play with herself a bit. Cherry lends a hand, followed by a tongue, finger, and dildo. Cherry dutifully works Florence over, with Florence just laying back and receiving and never even laying a hand on Cherry. Cherry also works on Florence with a strap on, both in doggie and reverse cowgirl. Florence seems very into it, but also seems awfully greedy since she never even lays a hand on Cherry as she pleasures her. The only times Florence does anything close to reciprocating is when she sucks the strap-on a little and gives Cherry a kiss at the end. It’s an okay scene, but Florence’s greedy nature brought it down to barely good rather than the very good to great the Cockless scenes normally seem to hover around.

Once again, Ed Powers has hit the mark with his Cockless series. Cherry Rain leads the cast once again, and stars in both of the lesbian scenes. She gives the scenes a nice feeling of mirth and merriment while also keeping the scenes very real and grounded. Unfortunately, the final scene lacks a bit since Florence is only interested in receiving and barely gives so much as a kiss or supporting hand. Ember, on the other hand turns in an amazingly fun scene that almost makes up for it, as did Ariah with a great solo opener. Cockless 13 is another nice addition to the series and has me ready and waiting for the next installment.

Extras: As usual, there’s company information as well as a photo gallery. The photo gallery contains a dozen photos from Ed’s other features, and nicely labels both the star in the photo as well as the feature it comes from. The photos look pretty average, but they’re also from some features that came out quite a long time ago which means they were probably treated pretty good.

Planet Powers lets you know about all things Ed. In the biography you learn that “Since 1989, Ed Powers has produced an incredible array of adult entertainment that has had a profound impact on out society. He is known throughout the world for his ability to explore the world of sex with humor and insight.” I’m sorry folks, but even this is too easy for me. Unlike many of the people who perform with Ed, I have to have some standards here, and am going to let this one go. Clips are included for Cockless 1, The Real Naturals 3, Global Warming Debutantes 11, Dirty Debutantes 47, Dirty Debutants157, and Dirty Debutantes 185. Finally, there’s a commercial for Ed Powers on the radio. I’m not sure who came up with the idea for putting Ed Powers on the radio, but it’s a great idea to put Ed in a place where he can’t be seen.

Overall: Currently, Cockless 13 can be found online for between $18 and $25 with most stores offering it around $20. Although the video has a few minor problems and there isn’t anything new or worth mentioning for extras, I’d still recommend this at the low end. The sex is great and feels very real and fun.

Note to New Machine: Cockless is rapidly becoming one of my favorite series. It’s great to see the audio coming along, but please give the video transfer the attention it deserves.
