Initial Expectations: Normally I think of Ed Powers as the kiss of death, but I enjoyed Cockless 8 so much that I can’t help but check out a few others in the series.

Audio /Video Quality: Pretty standard Ed Powers here. Ed is well known for his low budget approach, and things are no different here. The audio is pretty good, but sometimes a little off balance. It’s often hard to hear the girls if they’re talking, but Ed is always loud and clear. The video is fairly clear with a kind of soft feel. There’s occasional soft focus problems, but they rarely last long. There are a few noticeable flashes of remnants, which occur a lot more often than I’d like to admit. Ed also gets his camera into the field of view and shines an extra light or two around for his pictures that also interferes with things a bit, as well as actually showing his face on screen. The remnants are the worst thing about the transfer, and knocked the rating from slightly above average to below average.

Music: None.

Menus: The main menu is extremely simple and fairly unimpressive. He works the chapter menu into the main menu, which gives a nice view of the girl you’re choosing to see.

The Feature: Once again, Ed Powers takes his place behind the camera. It’s amazing how much truth there is to the old sayings such as “out of sight, out of mind”, as well as ones like “Children, it’s not nice to stare, and please don’t throw food into Ed’s cage.”. In his Cockless series, Ed brings together some newer female talent, something his Dirty Debutantes series is well known for, with female talent that’s been around for a little while, while keeping his clothes on.

Porsche Sin, a cute brunette with a couple piercings and a few too many tattoos for my tastes, starts out this episode of Cockless breaking her video cherry. She talks with Ed a little, which surprisingly seems to make her feel a little more comfortable, before stripping down and showing off her great natural body. She talks about how she’s natural for now, and Ed tries to convince her that she’s perfect as she is. He also reminds her that in boob jobs, you get what you pay for. Although I hate to admit it, and this might be the beer I had while mowing the lawn before this talking, but five minutes in I was actually kind of liking Ed due to his comments. Unfortunately, he gets back to normal, and yaps on while Porsche plays with her pussy. She rubs her slit while in on all fours and on her back, and looks just a little nervous which seems normal with this being her first time. Ed gives her a pocket rocket to try out on herself, which she initially resists but soon learns to enjoy. She also tries out a big dildo for a bit, but goes back to her fingers to finish herself off. Porsche gets more comfortable as the scene goes on, and jokes around with Ed some as she plays. It works out as a kind of fun scene, and reminds me from the start why Ed and this series actually impressed me from the start.

Samantha Idol, a cute sandy blonde, and Dayne, an extremely cute brunette with a smile and eyes that remind me of Sandra Bullock and looks that otherwise remind me of Shawnee Smith, let Ed take their picture and question them before they start kissing. They move on to a little bit of masturbation and play with pocket rockets before Samantha takes the lead and starts kissing and licking Dayne’s tits while holding a rocket on her pierced pussy. Samantha moves on to let her tongue run slowly across almost all of Dayne’s naughty bits, and gives her lower piercing a bit of attention as well. After giving Dayne a nice and slow lesson, Samantha lays back to let her show what she’s learned. Dayne’s education continues with both a double dong and a strap-on, which she gets to wear. Dayne fucks Samantha both doggie style and cowgirl style. It’s a nice and hot scene that’s very relaxed. It gives the scene a fairly realistic first timer feel, and really makes me want to see more of Dayne.

Luckily, Dayne is also in the third, and final scene, with the great Cherry Rain. I started to love this scene from almost the instant it began. Both girls jump on the bed with a lot of energy and show some great chemistry before there’s even any naughty parts shown. Cherry can’t resist playing with Dayne’s pussy, and shortly after both girls quickly strip down. Cherry starts out licking Dane all over, and then lets Dane work her own magic on the Cherry pit. She mostly works it over with just her tongue and fingers, but does use a Jackrabbit style vibe a bit in the middle. Cherry returns the favor working on Dayne’s pussy naturally, but Ed also tosses in a double dildo that Cherry and Dayne use on Dayne’s pussy, and a small plug that Cherry works on Dayne’s ass with for a technical DP. Cherry comes in doggie, and then keeps on going in reverse cowgirl. It’s an extremely hot scene that has amazing chemistry. Cherry and Dayne are way into each other, and it shows. There’s very little of the softness of the previous scene here. Instead this scene goes for energy and fun while also improving the chemistry. The scene actually ends with Cherry claiming that she doesn’t think she’s ever came so much in her life. It’s a great scene to end with, and is captured pretty well by Ed.

If you like all girl action, I’d strongly recommend Cockless 12. For that matter, the entire Cockless series since the three I’ve now seen have all been a great breath of freshness compared to most all girl features. Yes, it has Ed’s normal simple feel, but it also has girls who all appear to be really enjoying themselves rather than moaning like a diesel truck engine. As usual Cherry Rain really shines, but Dayne is the one who really steals the show this time. She shows she can do both soft and tender in her first scene, and then fun and naughty in her second scene with Cherry. The only complaint I have is that it looks like Dayne only appeared in three movies, and I would like to see her a lot more than just two more times. Once again, Ed Powers shows that he can make a good fuck flick if he’ll just stay out of the way and let the girls do what they do best. I never thought I’d say this, but I can’t wait to see more of what Ed has to offer in Cockless 13.

Extras: As usual, there’s company information as well as a photo gallery. The photo gallery contains a dozen photos from Ed’s other features, and nicely labels both the star in the photo as well as the feature it comes from. The photos look pretty average, but they’re also from some features that came out quite a long time ago which means they were probably treated pretty good.

Planet Powers lets you know about all things Ed. In the biography you learn that “Since 1989, Ed Powers has produced an incredible array of adult entertainment that has had a profound impact on out society. He is known throughout the world for his ability to explore the world of sex with humor and insight.” I’m sorry folks, but even this is too easy for me. Unlike many of the people who perform with Ed, I have to have some standards here, and am going to let this one go. Clips are included for Cockless 1, The Real Naturals 3, Global Warming Debutantes 11, Dirty Debutantes 47, Dirty Debutants157, and Dirty Debutantes 185. Finally, there’s a commercial for Ed Powers on the radio. I’m not sure who came up with the idea for putting Ed Powers on the radio, but it’s a great idea to put Ed in a place where he can’t be seen.

Overall: Currently, Cockless 12 can be found online for between $18 and $25 with a decent spread between stores. If you’re a fan of all girl action, I’d recommend picking this one up at the lower end. The sex is hot and realistic, but the transfer lacks a bit even compared to most of Ed’s releases. There also isn’t anything new for extra.

Note to New Machine: With features like this, I can see why you’ve supported Ed Powers so much in the past. I hope you keep bringing this series out regularly, but please take the time to give the transfer the attention it deserves. The remnants in this one did affect the overall feature.
