Club Sin Review

Overall Impression
"The first rule of Club Sin is you don't talk about Club Sin", while I'm going to break that rule so you won't have to watch Club Sin. I had high hopes for this title, being a huge Gere fan as well as being impressed with some Antonio Passolini's other works. After watching Club Sin I am hard pressed to believe this is the same Antonio Passolini that directed "Cafe Flesh 2", "DMJ5", and "Flesh". As far as capturing the sexual action Passolini does a horrible job in my opinion. There are a few powerful performances in this one that are "dulled" by his poor camera work. This disc is a real shame, because Ashlyn Gere, Gwen Summers, and Chole deliver, but Passolini fails to make the most of their talents.

Plot Club Sin is clearly, but loosely based on the popular movie "Fight Club". "Ashlyn plays Elsa, a dominating power-hungry divorcee who comes up with her own unique "support group" for divorced young woman named Angela (Gwen Summers), Elsa launches her exclusive club to help women find their inner strength through a series of increasingly bizarre sexual challenges. But when Angela realized that her mentor's intentions are not entirely unselfish, the stage is set for an erotic confrontation where there can only be one victor."

Plot is not an important element for me in my porn, but I always appreciate good acting, and the crossover Queen Gere delivers a superior acting performance. She really is pretty good. Unfortunately the supporting cast is not at her level, but Chole and Gwen are ok at least.

Scene 1 Ashlyn Gere & Gwen Summers
In this first scene we see Gere demonstrate her sexual bravado as she get the action started by asking some janitor (Evan Stone) "Let me ask you a simple question, do you want to fuck me?". Gwen watches in disbelief as Gere declares "What's wrong haven't you ever seen a man eat pussy before?". Eventually this janitor finds himself an enviable position with both of these ladies as they take turns having their way with him. Gere is great here, and Gwen shows some decent energy. However the action is just not captured all that well, leaving me feeling a bit worried about the rest of the film.

Scene 2 Shay Sights
Here Gere convenes her first meeting of Club Sin. Gere goes through the "rules" of Club Sin. Shay volunteers herself as the first participant to sin at Club sin with Nick Manning. I think Shay has some potential as a performer, but she does not display it in this scene. I found this scene to be completely lacking in the passion department. There is a little reverse cowgirl anal here, but it really isn't anything to get exited about. A fairly lame scene overall.

Scene 3 Kylie Ireland
Ireland and Lee Stone go at it 1on1 here. Ireland did not look particularly good in my opinion, plus she had some unsightly but blemishes. Hey if you're a big Ireland fan you might still like this scene, however there is no anal here.

Scene 4 Kiki Daire & Brooke Hunter
In this scene each of these two ladies compete sexually for entry into Club Sin. Each girl takes on two guys at once in an attempt to out sex each other. These girls do a good job handling their 2on1s complete with dps. Not a bad scene I guess, but it just didn't do it for me.

Scene 5 Ashlyn Gere & Gwen Summers
This girl/girl scene between Gere and Gwen is pretty good thanks to the energy of the performers.

Scene 6 Chole
An angry Chole gives delivers an entertaining performance here with Pat Myne. I only wish this scene was captured by an artful eye because Chole showed some great intensity in this scene.

Scene 6 Ashyln Gere
Gere takes on three guys at once in this scene in order to prove herself to the other club members. This is a very strong performance from Gere, but it sadly could have been a much better scene if only it were filmed through the lens of a superior director. The fact is that the heat generate by Gere cools down when viewed through Antonio's lens.
