Chrissy the Campus Slut is another attempt for Heatwave and Jim Powers to hold onto the Kelly the Coed series. At least nine of the Kelly the Coed movies had been made by the time this spin off series was created. The concept had already been done to death and become a formulaic mess with your required frat house fucking scenes, your locker room scene, and your authority figure at school scene.

In this entry, Chrissy (Sabrina Jade) is a freshman at State University, who is going to be pinned into the Pi Pi sorority house. Her big sister in the sorority is Kelly (Allysin Chaynes). That's about as far as the story really goes. Referring to this entry as a vignette movie might be more appropriate, but that might even indicate that the movie has more plot than it really does. What does exist for the script is horrible. The lines are really, really, bad. And the ending a complete waste of time.

The movie fails on the technical aspects as well. There is a weird echo for Sabrina's narration, which in addition to her voice being flat and unemotional, makes her narration sound chored. The Kappa Kappa house is poorly shot. I don't know if they just couldn't figure out how to shoot in a room with that many people in it or what, but angles were often bad with the camera pulled in way too close or poorly framed. There were too many pans of all the people in the room as well. The audio shot there is rather bad too, the room noise overtook the lines. Camera flashes from taking the still shots were also included in the finished movie.

The female cast looks good but the male cast was a bit miscast with several actors not really fitting their roles. The original Kelly the Coed was a cute movie, but at this point Powers has run the idea so badly into the ground

Heatwave has done a decent job with the release of Chrissy the Campus Slut. The movie is presented in the full screen aspect ratio of approximately 1.33:1. The picture looks good throughout without any blemishes and good looking colors. Heatwave has put a series of phone sex adverts before the feature movie, which are at least skippable, but make the disc look cheap. Chrissy the Campus Slut is presented with an English Dolby Digital 2.0 Stereo track. There are no problems with the audio outside of those that came from the production itself. There are also French and Hungarian dubbed audio tracks.

There are a few extras included on the disc. There is an eleven minute behind the scenes featurette. There is a meet the stars piece with some video footage of Sabrina Jade, Summer Storm, Claudia Adkins, Adina Jewel, and Allysin Chaynes. There are solo scenes, which for some reason are in little framed boxes on the screen for Summer Storm, Claudia Adkins, and Adina Jewel. There are two angles for all of the sex scenes, but this is a poor gimmick, it is too hard to flip around within the editing for this to be a useful feature.

Chrissy the Campus Slut, a spin-off of the Kelly the Coed series, is sadly a bad adult feature movie. It follows the same formula as the movies that have come prior in the series. The movie is poorly shot and was obviously quickly put together. Do yourself a favor and pass on this one and rewatch the original.
