Chi Chi Larue's Collection 1 Review

The Chi Chi LaRue’s Collection,Vol. 1, is a 3-disc set that contains Total Corruption 1 & 2 on one disc and Body Search and Hologram on 2 additional discs. These are all early LaRue (1993-1995) but the stuff holds up well technically and some of the stars were, at the time, fairly big in the business. It is all worth a look and you really would be hard pressed to get more good porn for the buck. Each of these flicks is also available separately. The best of the lot is Total Corruption 1. The cast looks uniformly great—hot bodies and major cocks. The cast features such muscle stud notables as Zak Spears, Donnie Russo, Hank Hightower, and Marco Rossi. The always popular gay porn theme of uniformed cops and forced sex is done very well here even if the semi-gay-bashing dialog is a bit over the top. The sex itself, however, is a bit more uneven. The hottest scene is the opening one with Officer Russo rousting a leather clad hustler, Hank Hightower, for a little back alley sex. It truly sizzles. The three-way with Spears, Greg Ross, who plays the “straight” cop, and Phil Bradley, his partner, is also droolworthy.

Total Corruption 2 on the same disc is really not a sequel in that it is an entirely different cast and set in prison, not with cops on patrol. Oh well, prison, cops, whatever; it’s all a gay fantasyland. Scott Randsome and Tom Katt are the bodies beautiful here although the final scene between the two just sort of falls flat. Body Search is story porn gone berserk. In the end it is way more story than porn, a story that gets so convoluted, it seems like there is much more time spend setting up the sex scenes than on the sex scenes themselves. Still, I thought it was very entertaining and some of the sex was sizzling. The best of the lot was the final scene with Jack Dillon, Rick Bolton, and Wes Daniels, a steamy threeway. Dillon, as far as I know, was the gayest of the lot, Daniels and Bolton having appeared in gay, bi and straight porn. But all three were really into their work and that is all that counts. More disappointing was Tom Katt and Steve Regis’ scene together. Both mega studs of course were stunning eye candy but there was only oral work and wanking to be seen. Katt does a mean fuck in many of his flicks; look for some of those if you really want to see the man in hot action.

Hologram is another body beautiful cast with a story that never ends, but at least the sex dominates in this one. The highlight is the Zak Spears fantasy with pig studs Max Holden, Brock Hunter, and Ted Matthews in hot, nonstop action. This is probably the single best scene on all three discs. And it ends with a cum fest like you have never seen before. That scene alone is worth the price of admission.

Although from the early part of Chi Chi’s career, these HIS DVDs are very well done. Both Hologram and Body Search have separate audio programs that feature Director’s Commentary for the whole length of the flicks, a real plus. The production values are aces above most gay porn: great videography, lighting, dialog and sound. And a lot of the action is just fine. There are misses here and there but with a cumulative running time of well over four hours and 19 or 20 sex scenes (depending on how you count), there are bound to be. In the overpriced world of gay porn, this collection is a true bargain.
