The film opens with cheer teammates Ella, Chanell and Naomi all arriving at coach Lauren Phillips house for a special weekend. Ella jokes about Chanell and Naomi fucking each other. Still, where this action fell down for me was in how the pacing and intensity stayed at about a 3 or a 4 at all times. We just didn’t get that much cunnilingus either and when we did it was finished with simple rubbing.

I am still waiting for Ella’s breakout scene , I feel like this could have been it , but just wasn’t quite there yet. Lord knows she’s a fucking knockout. I also think that the tribbing opportunities were cut away from too soon to see them kick up a notch to where I could see them being truly orgasmic.

As for story , this was about 43 minutes , with maybe the first 10 taken up by lead in plot. That’s not a bad use of runtime - and the pervy coach thing has been done before by Skow. It’s an easy thing to reach for but I dunno, I just feel that this one didn’t hit the mark. I don’t necessarily want the coach characters to be gross about anything - I don’t need extreme , however the motivation just kinda sailed along without much seduction factored in. Maybe that’s why the pacing seemed rather one speed to me.

This was another okay scene. Again, the skin contrast was beautiful to look at and things started off with quality kissing. I would be lying if I said the toy use wasn’t a bit of a letdown though. It always feels less intimate and as a result we barely saw Naomi eat Chanell and that only happens late at Lauren’s request.

I did enjoy the tribbing , most notably when Naomi topped. As I mentioned it’s was at least briefly a faster pace than the examples from the opening scene - and featured a better look at the point of contact.

Skow seems to like putting more girls in the frame with light intrusions like we saw with Ella and Lauren entering to play a small part in the action. I would say this isn’t ideal for me as a viewer because it tends to draw attention away from the primary pair having sex - thus unless it serves a pivotal and interesting purpose I am inclined to say it’s unnecessary. Skow especially already has focus issues in my opinion.

The director does score some points with me for the casting choices though. I think this is a first time GFF appearance for Chanell and Naomi both which is kind’ve surprising. Both have done quality scenes for GW in the past and I know Filly likes Chanell a lot. I know they can do well in lesbian scenes but I do wonder if this was a one and done opportunity at Girlfriends as it was shot a long time ago now.

The scene length was just shy of 40 minutes which is good in my book. However I wanted more cunnilingus work , just as I did with the previous scene.

The plot was pretty standard stuff that leaves little to talk about but there were no bad / offensive dialogue choices here as sometimes pop up in Skow films.

Overall I would say this is okay , though I’m hoping for tighter camerawork in the second half.

There were some focus issues , as is often the case with Skow - and ultimately I do feel there were more fast position changes than I want to see in a scene. I think it’s a question of maximizing each act.

But as I mentioned with the brief rimming by Richelle and the faceride segments by Zoey this scene did have notable highlights with the kind of contact shots that I value a lot for that reason I think this one succeeds a bit more than the first two scenes. Also the intensity did ramp up during these moments which I appreciate.

The scene was something like 50 minutes long , with 20 of those used for the lead in. Storyline wise it’s more or less a rehash of the first vignette with some teasing of the older woman thrown in for variety. That’s probably fine for most viewers so I won’t ding the scene points for well trod ground.

There was a continuity problem where they first called Richelle the new captain , when she was presented as a coach instead. This makes more sense for casting but little details like that should be cleaned up if you want a narrative to matter. I think that it may be that the cheer uniforms are the focus of making it fit the theme - where plot is just added later to fill out time.

Giving Zoey a dry vagina whatever is the kind of half hearted humor that Skow often uses. I dunno , for my money it would probably be better served if Zoey was just depicted as hopelessly horny from the start rather than making it some weird joke about her pussy for half the scene. Porn fans like horny girls plenty. For instance I thought the smell test game worked fine and so did Richelle’s character peeping and then masturbating. Sometimes simple is more effective than adding in that extra laugh line.

The pairing was well matched and the energy from both babes stood out to me. They seemed to have the most fun together. It’s odd , but maybe the no nonsense approach to their scene helped - it got off to a fast start and just kept up for the entire 29 minute runtime.

The camerawork might have left a little to be desired, but at least some of every segment had good quality angles of tongue to pussy or body to body contact. The highlights for me were Lily’s early pussy eating, the dual trib sessions and Lily’s no fear of the rear on her rimming attack as she worked a hard rubbing in tandem to make Amara come. Ultimately this quicker pace to the action also led to what looked like more notable orgasms too. All in all, a nice effort from both and the scene I am most likely to rewatch of the batch.

Final Thoughts and Suggestions :

This was a decent showing in the 25th installment of one of my personal favorite series . I think that generally speaking Skow’s camera choices are still puzzling too often. The plot was pretty standard too - and while I don’t expect folks to reinvent the wheel every time out, I do think that the plot had a same day finish type of feel that says maybe there needs to be more thought put in. That being said with so many factors I regularly knock factoring into the finale , with a short runtime , a couch scene, almost no plot development ) it does prove that if the action is hot and the camera work decent enough those aspects of sex can carry the day for a scene : I know that i’m not your typical viewer , so while I might have a lot of notes on story, that I do hope studios and readers consider , I try not to hammer a scene score unnecessarily. As ever I remain appreciative of Skow casting different girls to at least keep that aspect fresh for Girlfriends fans like me who like to watch every release.
