Synopsis:
An all sex all girl film with no attempt at a plot.

Video/Audio:
Chasin' Pink 5 is presented in the full frame aspect ratio, 1.33:1, which appears to be the original aspect ratio for the film. The picture quality varies throughout the film from sharp and clear to soft and grainy. Given the release year, this must have been done intentionally, or Vivid really messed up the master for the disc. The color levels are correct throughout the film.

The available audio track is a 2.0 English Stereo track, which is more than appropriate for the material presented here. Anything more would be a complete waste. Viewers who don't understand English will still be able to get full enjoyment out of this film. No other language tracks and no subtitle options are available.

Chapters/Time Code:
There are five chapters available from the main menu for Chasin' Pink 5. They are identified by a video clip and the stars in the scene. They provide great navigation for getting to the beginning of a scene that you are interested in, but do nothing if you want to get to a point inside that scene. Then again the fetish rooms can help you with that part. There is a time code for this film, so time searching is available.

Special Features:
This disc has several extras, most of which actually have to do with the feature film in one way or another. First up are the extras that have to do with the feature film. Fetish rooms are fetish categories, toys, pussy eating, fingering and masturbation, that lead you to scenes in the film with these fetishes. The photo gallery contains 17 photos on a track which the camera pans over. Cast clips are scenes from other Vivid films with the stars of this film. For Niki Talon there is a scene from The Gift. For Tanya Danielle there is a scene from Now or Never. For Chasey Lain there are scenes from Hawaii, Chasin' Pink, and Where the Boys Aren't 9. And for Raylene there are scenes from Where the Boys Aren't 12 and Sex in the Second Realm.

Now for the extras that don't have to do with the feature film. The help menu, which is exactly as it states, it is for the idiots among us who can't figure out how to use a menu-based navigational system. The available previews are for Daytime Drama, Bad Wives 2, Ultimate Raylene, and Prisoner. The Web is an advert for Vivid's Internet presence.

The box cover announces the presence of multiple angles. However, I didn't notice any while watching the film. It is possible that I managed to miss them, but I don't believe that they are really there.

Review:
Before we get into the problems with Chasin' Pink 5 I'm going to go over some of the positive aspects. Fans of Chasey Lain will be happy as she is in three of the five scenes presented on the disc. The rest of the cast is also very attractive so you don't have to worry about any eyesores from the cast.

Along with the standard locations, the film uses some rather unique ones that aid in making the scenes feel fresh, for example one appears to have been filmed in a boiler room. The sex scenes themselves are rather tame, but that is what most viewers have come to expect from Vivid Pictures. I'll go into the problems with the scenes in a moment. The sexual themes in the film are obviously lesbian sex with oral, toys, fingering and female masturbation.

The biggest problem with Chasin' Pink 5 lies in the sex scenes. As with many lesbian scenes and films, none of the scenes seem to come to a complete end. They end very abruptly leaving the viewer wanting more. The porn companies should hire women to make the lesbian films so that we might get better lesbian scenes, scenes that actually look real. Don't misunderstand, the scenes are very erotic, but they would have been better with an ending to each one. As the whole film is a lesbian film, this problem hits the film much harder than it would if the film had also contained male/female scenes.

The other issue with the film is that it is very short running a whole 70 minutes. Often these days Vivid hacks its films to pieces to add the multiple angle feature which shrinks down the running time of a film. Since the multiple angles are omitted here, it leaves the question of whether the footage was removed from the film for the missing multiple angles or whether Vivid just made a short film. Either way, you feel cheated when the film is over so quickly.

The Money Shot:
Chasin' Pink 5 ends up being an average lesbian film. Fans of Chasey Lain will probably want to pick this one up as she doesn't seem to be making many films anymore and hardcore lesbian lovers might want to give the film a rent. Other than that, you can do much better so unless you can find the film on sale, I'd pass on it. Viewers who don't care for all girl films or require a plot will definitely want to avoid this title.
