Another instalment of Pierre Woodman's Private Castings series - funny how Private subtly re-branded the series to give less emphasis to the Woodman name - features the usual mix of interviews, auditions, photo shoots and sex scenes, with more familiar names and faces among the discoveries.

Nadine Bronx
This Belgian, according to iafd.com, blonde is perhaps a little older and wiser, though sadly less natural, than the usual Woodman "victims". Nadine keeps it flirtatious but cool and calm through interview, though she's quite personable with it. Overall
It was all bumbling along there in the usual fashion, a standard mix of moderate interest and mediocre picture quality, but then all of a sudden the arrival of Eva Roberts presented something to really sit up and take notice of. This is one of the main reasons to watch Castings 8 - Erika and Sylvia are another two. Other than that, I'd politely suggest there's little else to get especially worked up about. Few of the interviews are of real value, the photoshoots get a touch repetitive as Woodman and co potter about in one tropical location after another (it's a hard life, I know) and Jeanette's sex scene is of dubious value as it's been edited and is already available on two other Private discs.

DVD Comments
The picture quality in terms of source footage was always rough on this series and this is no exception - the material was originally shot without much regard to future use. So be warned it's well below what's expected today. The sound is okay, but that's not so important because thankfully full English subtitles are on hand - along with subtitles for a wealth of other tongues - rather than those horrible dubbed narrations that blight earlier editions. As usual, the extras neatly link still photo sets, as available, with each girl's profile and casting scene, and have a full set of production notes too. Trailers and a DVD Rom section with catalogue and wallpaper pictures complete the package - all slickly presented.
