Private Castings 10: Silvia Saint Review

I generally like Private titles so I wanted to sample a disc from this series. When I saw Silvia in the title role, I figured it was time.

Capsule Review

This is a very weak DVD. If it is indicitive of other discs in this series (and I have no reason not to believe this is the case), it is a very weak series. Basically they haul out some moldy old interview footage of girls who would eventually work for Private. They do not look good in that they are not made up, costumed, etc. They answer some ridiculous questions for an extended period of time. They take off their clothes and pose for a few minutes. Then we cut to a scene from another Private movie, along with the outtakes from the scene. This is a compilation disc at best, and a bad one at that!

Technical

All of the interview scenes are of terrible quality, audio & video. The compilation footage varies, but is reasonably sound, although much of it is vintage.

Scene Review

Scene 1 - Liza Harper

Liza looks like a kid here. She calls herself Melissa. She is covered in freckles and has an unattractive hairdo. She wears a frumpy outfit and answers questions... yawn. At one point she bends over and shows us a tampon string - disgusting. The comp scene is from XXX #1. It's an okay 2 on 1 on a boat. Whack Factor: 1

Scene 2 - Timea Margot

Timea at least looks as though she has potential. She is a bleached blonde in an attractive sportcoat. She answers ridiculous questions. When she finally gets naked, we can see why she will be a Private girl, she is stacked and has a killer bod. Her comp scene is from XXX #2. It is a pool side scene with 2 guys. Whack Factor: 4

Scene 3 - Joy

Joy is a reasonably cute brunette in black. I mean black from head to toe. She has no fashion sense. She answers more stupid questions, before getting naked. She is nothing special naked. The comp scene is from XXX #6. It is an outdoor scene on a mountain side in the jungle. Joy wears a tropical tent-like affair of some sort. There is no saving this scene. Whack Factor: 1

Scene 4 - Silvia Saint

Silvia is dressed smartly in her interview. She says she is 20, but she already looks tired and used. She looks like she has been partying way too hard. She answers some of Woodman's stupid questions. When she gets naked we see she is wearing great black lingerie. Ah, at least a little light in this foggy film. Her comp scene is from the shooting of Private Mag #142. This is a little more interesting in that it is a photo shoot. Needless to say, she looks great. This scene is only saved because it's Silvia. Whack Factor: 7

Scene 5 - Adele

Adele is a cute brunette with a bad haircut and a flimsy teddy. She answers even more stupid questions. Her comp scene is from Kruger Park. She shows up in the African bungalow wearing a sundress and sandles. At least they got her hair tamed here. Whack Factor: 5

Scene 6 - Linda

Linda is an attractive redhead in a very sexy turquoise minidress. Finally, some eye candy during the interview phase. Now I can just focus on her and ignore the questions! When she finally gets naked, we see that she is badly in need of a shave. Her scene is from Sex 12. It is a poorly filmed affair and is nothing worth noting. Whack Factor: 2

Scene 7 - "Soft Scenes"

This is a waste of disc where other girls are asked a much smaller number of questions and asked to strip and turn around. Whack Factor: 1

In Conclusion

Private should be ashamed of themselves to be putting this trash on DVD. They charge full price, give it a glossy cover, and act like it is a regular Private release. This is for die-hards only, and then it will still be painful!
