NOTE: This is a homemade video. Amateur and homemade movies don’t have the budget nor the resources of studio porn, and therefore rarely get close to the same quality technically. I’m rating this DVD on the same scale, but most homemade or amateur features would rarely make it above a 3 on the standard scale I use for studio porn for their technical aspects. The performers also aren’t normally the ‘glamour stars’ one expects from studio porn, and instead use people who look like somebody you might encounter in your day to day life. Finally, the camera work has a different feel, as it’s often shot from a tripod or with somebody who doesn’t have the technical training or experience of professional cameramen. That said, amateur and homemade features have a great charm to them, simple because the people in them are doing what they’re doing to have fun and because they enjoy it. All the things that separate them from studio porn contribute to that charm, I hope people will keep that in mind when checking out this review and not just look at the ratings as the ultimate word on this release. Since the technical aspects are normally lacking and there normally isn’t much for extras in amateur features, I’ve weighted my overall rating more heavily towards the sex than I do in most studio porn.

The Technical Stuff

Audio /Video Quality: The audio is okay. It has a few areas where it cuts out, but for the most part is clear and well balanced. It even comes across nicely balanced when there’s a radio playing in the background. The video varies a bit. Most of it is okay, and comes off nicely lit with a bit of grain. There’s a minute or so where it appears there were some problems around the fifteen minute mark.

Watermark Warning: There’s a small watermark in the lower right corner. I found it very unobtrusive and easy to put out of mind since it’s small and doesn’t move around a lot, but I mention it here because I know there are some people who hate them with a passion beyond reason.

Menus: As usual, the menus are pretty simple. The main menu keeps the standard Shot at Home style and gives you the choices along with a still from the action. The chapter menu lets you choose where to go in the movie based on six stills of the action.

The Feature

Cassandra is a very average looking woman who looks to be in her late twenties or early thirties. She has a decent sized tattoo on her back and a small tattoo on her outer right calf. Obviously she has a bit of exhibitionist in her, and here you get to see her adventures with her fiancé and their video camera continue.

Scene 1 - Cassandra and her man

Cassandra starts things out under a quilt trying to keep warm and encouraging her man to join her. Although I can see some people not liking all of the banter after the sex, for me it raised things up a bit. It really gives a lot of humanity to the scene and has such a natural post-coital feeling that I think it makes the scene very easy to relate to. This is a nice scene and a good start to the movie.

Scene 2 - Cassandra and her man

Cassandra, wearing a light jacket and a baseball cap, and her man relax on a boat as it floats on the river next. After a little talk, he sits back in one of the seats and lets Cassandra drop down to start sucking his cock. She keeps encouraging him to cum, but when he can’t Cassandra tries talking him into lying on the bottom of the boat. This is a decent scene. It does a very nice job of capturing the public sex aspect while also doing a good job of capturing the action. Most importantly, it captures the chemistry between Cassandra and her man, including the few minor problems. This is an okay scene.

Scene 3 - Cassandra and her man

Cassandra relaxes in the tub next as he man runs around with the camera and a light. She diddles herself lightly before her man pulls out his cock and lets her start sucking it. She gives him plenty of knob gobbling, but he seems to have a bit of a problem popping. He gets close several times but doesn’t get there and instead needs a break, so Cassandra lies back in the tub and works on her pussy with the shower head. This is a slightly below average segment to me. Cassandra comes off a bit whiny again and the guy’s not being able to pop really holds the scene back. They do try to make up for it with a bit of masturbation, but this part of the movie has a disjointed feeling that just didn’t work for me.

Cassandra Horny Wife To Be 3 is an okay homemade movie. There’s a few things that didn’t work all the way for me, but I can see them working for others and still can’t deny that they had a bit of charm. The entire movie has a very homemade type of feel. Yes, Cassandra and her man set some of the scenes up, but at the same time the entire movie feels like you’re watching a home movie they made to capture their life together. Unlike most couples, they’re home movies have a lot of sex rather than dogs running around and little kids causing their Dads to double over in pain after somehow hitting them in the nuts. Cassandra is a nice looking brunette, and has a nice and natural enjoyment of sex that’s a big relief compared to so many other adult movies out there. Her playfulness for the camera also helps things out, and you can tell that they really enjoy watching themselves on video. The problem for me was that it almost got too realistic at times. There’s a lot of humanity in the non-sex portions of the movie, but it isn’t always the best of humanity. There’s wondering how people like their parents can stay together as long as they have and neediness, and that just didn’t work well for me. That said, I can see it working for a lot of other fans of homemade movies so I hate to get too down on it. Cassandra: Horny Wife to Be 3 is an okay homemade movie that seems like it needs a bit more focus at times.

The Bottom Line:

Currently, most of Shot at Home’s DVDs can be found for around $20. I don’t think I can recommend this one at that price unless you’re a huge Cassandra fan. The sex is a bit disjointed and the non-sex portions didn’t do a lot for me. With the exception of about two minutes, which has some video problems, the technical aspects are nicely done and there’s some decent effort put into the extras for an amateur release. This is a pretty good DVD of an okay movie.

Note to Shot at Home: Although this one didn’t work the best for me, at least it reminded me why I always look forward to your releases.
