Rant: Before we dive too deeply into Carny, let me take a minute to talk about peer to peer porn sharing. Titan included a nice little message at the beginning of the DVD, reminding us that it’s illegal to post movies on the web, and all that jazz. It would have been a perfectly acceptable message, if it weren’t for the incredibly loud siren and machine gun noises going off in the background. Titan is damn lucky that you can fast forward through that crap, otherwise I probably would have never even bothered to put the disc back in.
In case you are reading this Titan, here’s a scenario that would have worked oh so much better: Have a super hunk like Patrick Knight naked, getting a blowjob, looking right into the camera, and say “You like to watch? Then please, don’t share this movie online…. Etc…” Now that’s something I’d gladly sit through.
Story: Ok, now that the unpleasantness is behind us, let’s get to the movie at hand. Carny is, obviously, a carnival themed movie. There’s a nice variety of men, from young studly guys like Tag Adams and Danny Vox to the super tattooed circus freaks Bud and Kalaban.
Scene One
Starring: Tag Adams, Miguel Leonn, Sam Ford
Tag and his boyfriend Miguel start out scene 1 walking around our little carival of lust. Tag has to take a short piss break, and ends up with Sam’s cock getting shoved down his throat in a port-a-potty. After a few minutes, Miguel discovers what’s going on, kicks Sam to the curb, and proceeds to give Tag one hell of a good ass pummeling.
The majority of this scene is all Tag and Miguel, who are both real hotties. Sam’s only scene in the whole flick only lasts maybe 4 minutes, and he doesn’t even cum. Such a waste, since I really like Sam. Anyway, Miguel has a whopper of an uncut cock, and it really does look incredible sliding up Tag’s hole. It’s a very long scene, with lots and lots of fucking. Neither of which really did much for me. Once they started having actual sex, things got a little more interesting. Well this one is certainly unexpected. A “low-key” Dred Scott scene? Strange. Usually, when Dred’s on camera, he’s got this intensity in his eyes, but here, he just seems kind of disconnected or something. Anyway, he and Gil take turns fucking Danny, a shy sailor who came into their tent looking to get his fortune read. It’s slow, rather mechanical, and quite frankly, not very interesting. Gil and Dred do shoot off some mighty fine cumshots, though.
Scene Four
Starring: Dred Scott, Jake Corwin
Dred’s back again for scene four, this time with hair (his head was shaved bald in scene 3, which looked way sexier, btw). Dred’s teamed up with Jake Corwin, who you may or may not remember from the Manplay series. Jake is a good looking guy, with some neat tattoos, and a nice big dick… I just wish he had a few more muscles. Dred ends up giving Jake a nice, slow fucking, similar to the one he gave Danny in scene 3. Is this the beginning of a kindler, gentler Dred Scott? I sure hope not!
Scene Five
Starring: Rick Pantera, Ben Damon, Jake Corwin, Bud, Rocco Vidal, Kalaban
The final scene is actually 3 shorter scenes, shot one after the other on the same set. First up is Jake fucking Rick, then both Rocco and Kalaban take a piece out of Ben’s ass, and finally Bud, Jake and Rick have a wet little threeway. Of these 3 shorter scenes, the only one that really did anything for me was the last, which really surprised me, since I’m not usually into watersports. There’s just something about seeing Jake piss directly into Bud’s mouth that just got me hard as a rock.
Audio/Visual Quality
If there’s one thing you can count on from Titan, it’s a great looking DVD. The video looks great, the music is just right, the sets are all creatively done, hell… even the DVD packaging is first rate.
Extras
Once again, your Titan DVD is filled to the brim with extras. There’s interviews with Tag Adams, Miguel Leonn, and Jake Corwin, a photoshoot feature, a compilation of all the watersports, a segment of Hank Real taking a very large dildo up his ass, some more behind the scenes footage, a image gallery, a cumshot review, and finally 5 previews for other Titan releases.
Final Word
Titan is marketing Carny as being “In the tradition of Fallen Angel”, but quite frankly, I don’t get that comparison at all. I don’t remember seeing much leather, and besides that one watersports scene, there really isn’t anything particularly kinky. The only thing Carny has in common with Fallen Angel 4 is its length: at over 3 hours, it’s a lot of porn to wade through. Each scene averages around a 1/2 hour, though I certainly wouldn’t have minded if a few had been edited down a bit. It’s not that I mind the longer scenes… if the sex is really hot I wouldn’t mind a scene going on for an hour! But if the sex isn’t quite clicking, then to drag it on for 30 minutes just brings the whole movie down. In the end, Carny certainly isn’t a Titan Masterpiece like Heat or Tresspass, but it’s still relatively enjoyable.
