The Technical Stuff

Audio /Video Quality: The technical aspects are pretty good. The audio is very clear and well balanced, and I don't think I noticed a single background noise. The video isn't quite as good, starting with the widescreen presentation being given a non-anamorphic transfer rather than the anamorphic transfer it deserves. It has a few minor lighting inconsistencies as well as a touch of grain and a little minor camera motion.

False Advertising: The cover lists a photo gallery in the extras, but I couldn't find one anywhere on the DVD. I'm deducting a half point because of this.

Menus: The main menu nicely works a bit of the movie together with the choices for an okay first impression. The chapter menu is pretty basic, and lets you choose a scene based on a still from each scene that also lets you know the name of the girl(s) in it and the chapter number.

The Feature

This sequence is only about half the scene of the opening sequence, but stays just as strong.

Scene 3 – Mika Tan, Nicki Hunter, and Josh Hunter

This is an excellent scene to end the movie with, and definitely left me very pleased.

Carnal Limbo is a very nicely done cocktease release. Nicki and Mika do a great job dominating Josh, and manage to keep the hint of a plot flowing through the movie as well. They work back and forth between leading Josh on and slapping him down, and never let you know when they're going to turn the tables. Josh does just as good of a job, and I'm not sure how he doesn't manage to pop time and time again throughout the movie. The camera work is also very nicely done throughout the movie, and although I know that this isn't the most demanding type of feature to shoot, fetish releases are also known for not having the best of technical aspects. Here I can't think of a single time I wanted a different camera angle. I really like how the movie was split into three scenes lasting between about fifteen minutes and a half hour, and how the girls teamed up on Josh after each taking him on by themselves. If there's any complaint to be made, it's probably that the final scene wasn't the longest scene in the movie with it having both girls working on Josh rather than just one. Even then, that's reaching a bit because every scene here is very well done. Carnal Limbo is a great cocktease release that I can't help but highly recommend to anybody who's interested in it.

The girls do a great job of it, and the technical aspects are nicely handled with the exception of a lack of an anamorphic transfer for the widescreen presentation. Sadly, there's no extras which is really too bad since with the movie barely lasting an hour there should have been plenty of space for it.

Note to Venus Girls: A little effort towards the extras would be great. Maybe a little solo scene from the girls, them giving the guy a lapdance, or just a few outtakes from around the set for something unique or even a bonus scene from another Venus Girls release (such as something from the Women on Top of Men series).
