Candy Apples Busted at 742 Review

This is yet another attempt on the ever-elusive gangbang record. It seems that one girl breaks it and a week later someone else is going at it. I have only seen one other gangbang ‘record’ which was Jasmin St Clairs attempt in ‘The Worlds Biggest Gangbang 2’ in which Candy Apples was a fluffer. Therefore, I will make various comparisons between the two.

First off though I was a little dubious about a movie from Heatwave. In my experience they tend to be a bit rough and cheap compared to the likes of Evil Angel for example, but I kind of like the voyeuristic spectacle of a big gangbang so I gave it a go. The disc starts at the menu which is a plus, it has the standard features, in the bonus material category there is a biography, a rather lengthy behind the scenes feature, another feature on the fluffers and previews of other Heatwave releases.

The movie starts out showing the preparations for the ‘event’ with the girls getting photos taken and makeup done, there is even a part where the fire department shows up to check fire regulations. It is in this behind the scenes start that we get so see what Candys personality is like when not in ho mode, and I have to say this girl has a fantastic attitude to what she does. Often with these types of things the girls tend treat it like a chore, however Candy is more than eager to get it on.

The moment arrives when Candy enters the room and the fucking begins. Sporting a new set of tits complete with tattoos she looks ready to fuck. The first objectionable part of the movie (and the most objectionable for the entire thing) is the fact that director Jim Powers can’t talk without the use of a bullhorn. For the entire movie you can hear him barking instructions over this thing and it spoils the ‘romantic ambience’ completely, even when the camera is on the right area he has to announce “we have another pop shot guys” like they don’t already know. However Jim Power’s does do a good job at keeping the true nature of the gangbang happening and that is to have three guys on Candy at any one time. This was a flaw in Jasmin StClairs attempt because they would sometimes run out of hard guys to come up and fuck her.

As in WBGB2 Heatwave have rounded up every street bum and deadshit that they could find to participate, so this is definitely not one to show your girlfriend and expect her to jump your bones within five minutes. Out of the hundred or so guys that have a go there are maybe two that are even remotely attractive (Dave Cummings even shows up). Yet, Candy remains totally enthusiastic right throughout, she genuinely appears to be enjoying herself. Unlike Jasmin in WBGB2 who couldn’t wait to finish so she could collect her paycheck and go and do the shopping.

One thing I never thought I would say is that this movie does suffer from the absence of Ron Jeremy. He appeared in WBGB2 as a host of sorts and did a good job of doing interviews with the participants and things like that. I find that watching a few hours of constant fucking and sucking with absolutely no break in between to be a bit boring. There are scenes that show a band playing in the hall next door where the guys would go after their moment of fame (or infamy), but the band is crap and adds nothing to the movie. So basically it’s the sort of thing you might have playing in the background while you do something else.

Now, one of the claims to fame of this movie is the fact that the event is shut down by the police. As Candy approaches 741 the police supposedly come in and shut the whole thing down. To be honest I don’t know whether to believe this or not. You can hear Jim Powers telling his crew to grab their gear and tapes and leave as quickly as possible. There are shots of police and police cars out on the street. Candy is quickly ushered out a back door by a huge overweight ‘bodyguard’, after throwing one punch he would be exhausted. They apparently have fire department approval and we see pictures of release forms being signed etc at the start so I am unsure as to why it is suddenly shutdown.

The picture quality is fairly good throughout with everything clear (sometimes that can be a bad thing). The sound is natural, with everything that is was said at the time being heard. As I said earlier, whoever gave Jim Powers a bullhorn needs to be shot.

This DVD scores low on the erection scale. A manufactured mega gangbang is just not the sort of thing that gets most guys horny. Sure, it’s got a reasonably good looking star in it who does a good job all things considered. But, it just goes on for too long with no erotic factor whatsoever.

I still found this DVD interesting simply for the subject matter. To be honest I don’t know why, but it just appeals to my curiosity. I actually think it might also appeal to some women, again, not for erotic value but just for the simple curiosity of it all. For instance my girlfriend watched for a while because she wanted to see how Candy could handle so much fucking.

If you see this DVD on sale you could do a lot worse. You could also do a lot better, but as I said I don’t think it was ever intended to give you a mega woody.
