I'm a fan of Hustler's Barely
Legal series, and to a lesser extent, their Real College Girls
series. So when I had a chance to pick up the first volume of a new
series, Campus Confessions, I jumped on it. Boy, do I wish I could
have jumped, walked, or ran from it instead... Introduced by "Mandy," this vignette-based series has unrelated segments filmed by five different Hustler directors. As expected, there's no consistent feel to any of the scenes, and they're only tied together by lead-in's by Mandy, a fairly cute brunette with practically no tits. "Freshman Fling" stars Samantha and Tyler Wood and is supposedly set in a college dorm room. The two fool around with a handheld camera (which we see miraculously moving into the frame later in the scene by supernatural forces). It's horribly lit and sounds like you're using eavesdropping equipment from across the street. The decent cumshot is marred by the camera lens being out of focus. "Pretty in White" is a college schoolgirl fantasy, complete with white panties and a plaid skirt. It's a pretty unremarkable scene except for those who have such a fetish -- it might be worthwhile to you. Like the first scene, the lighting is pretty bad at times, and the detail of Sarah and Toni de Sergio fucking is hard to make out. "Spring Break 2002" is the closest in look and feel to the Barely Legal series (no coincidence since Barely Legal director Clive McLean directed it). But it ruins the fantasy to hear the American girl's voiceover while Cintia, the blonde spring breaker, speaks her dialogue with a thick accent. It is set in Cabo, Mexico but it doesn't take advantage of the outdoor setting as well as it could. "Cramming" is probably the best scene of the video, with Avy and Jade giving some 2-on-1 attention to Chris Cannon, as well as a little light girl-girl teasing. But while the sex was pretty good, the facial, alas, was not. I really wish that talent would not work if they can't manage a good pop. Finally, "Unexpected Punishment" is an all-girl affair with Sophie and Severine as some slightly odd-looking lesbos who first have sex with each other (in some sort of fantasy flashback) and then with their "dean," Gabriella Woodman. The strap-on action at the end of the scene is exciting, but it's really just a so-so all-girl scene overall. At the end, we get about a minute of hardcore, quick cuts of Mandy getting fucked, probably in Campus Confessions 2. It's not even enough to save this Hustler vid from mediocrity. If that's not enough, the DVD is pretty featureless, and the "behind the scenes" advertised on the back cover is nowhere to be found. Don't waste your money on this dud...there are plenty of other Hustler videos that deserve your dollars before this one.
